Generally, a fogging condition is considered normal and can be eliminated by turning on the headlamps with the engine running for up to 30 minutes or during normal driving conditions. Headlamp assembly replacement WILL NOT be necessary in most cases.

When the engine has not reached the normal operating temperature, particularly right after being turned on after being parked overnight, repeatedly and quickly applying the brakes can damage the rotor in the supplemental brake vacuum pump.

Access to control modules and subsequent VIN writing in Stinger (CK) is required. If the KDS tablet is unable to verify and authenticate while connected online, it can cause a VIN writing or communication issue to ECU. The KDS tablet may display a message such as, “VIN Writing Impossible” or “Communication Error” when the issue occurs.

TSB: DATA COLLECTION: EXTRACT CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS DATA FROM ECU (DC18) - This bulletin provides information related to extracting "in use performance tracking" emissions data from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) of certain vehicles sold in California. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) requires the emissions data from vehicles with a minimum of 3,000 accumulated miles without reprogramming or resetting.

TSB: SERVICE ACTION: UVO 3.0 LOGIC IMPROVEMENT FOR BLACK SCREEN (SA366) - This bulletin provides the procedure to improve the logic of the UVO 3.0 (D-Audio) head unit on some 2018MY Stinger (CK) vehicles, produced from May 3, 2018 through June 5, 2018, and 2018-2019MY Niro Plug-in (DE PHEV) vehicles, produced from June 4, 2018 through November 25, 2018, which may exhibit a black screen after confirming the safety warning.

PITSTOP: KDS COOLING FAN ACTUATION TEST - This Pitstop provides information regarding the KDS Cooling Fan Actuation Test which is only available for 2019MY~ Stinger (CK) vehicles. A screenshot of the Cooling Fan Actuation Test for a 2018MY Stinger (CK) is shown below for reference with a result of "Operation Command Failed(0x22)" (or a possible result of "Operation Command Sent") when the actuation was attempted. This is a normal operation of KDS as this actuation test is not supported for 2018MY Stinger (CK) and therefore does not require any further diagnosis or repair of the KDS or cooling fan circuit.
