The affected vehicles may exhibit an intermittent noise when turning the steering wheel both when driving and when the vehicle is not in motion.

TFT display instrument cluster, produced from November 20, 2019 through March 2, 2023. The affected vehicles may exhibit the instrument cluster intermittently restarting after entering a destination into the navigation and starting route guidance. When the route guidance is cancelled, this concern is no longer present.

TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: UNEVEN/SLIPPERY ROAD WARNING DISPLAYED ON INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - This bulletin provides information to update the software on 5th Generation AVN wide on certain 2020-2023MY Kia vehicles (refer to model list on page 3) to remedy a warning sound accompanied by a 'Slippery road ahead. Drive carefully' or 'Uneven road ahead. Drive carefully' warning which is displayed on the instrument cluster. The current AVN software causes the warning sound and message to repeat approximately every ten (10) seconds, if the vehicle is not in motion, in 'PARK' or driving on even surfaces.

PITSTOP: AWD SYSTEM CONCERN DUE TO TIRE CIRCUMFERENCE - This Pitstop provides information regarding potential concerns with the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system due to tire sizes of differing circumference. Some customers may complain of a chatter sensation felt in the drivetrain of the vehicle and/or the failure of drivetrain component(s). A difference in tire size (width, aspect ratio, construction, rim diameter etc.) may be the cause.

This bulletin provides information related to extracting "in use performance tracking" emissions data from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) of certain vehicles sold in California. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) requires the emissions data from vehicles with a minimum of 3,000 accumulated miles without reprogramming or resetting. To facilitate collection of this data at the dealer level, KDS screenshots will allow the capture of relevant parameters.

Some vehicles may have had a metal cap installed during assembly.

TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: ABS/ESC LOGIC IMPROVEMENT FOR DTC C1626 - This bulletin provides the procedure to update the software logic of the Anti-Lock Brakes/Electronic Stability Control (ABS/ESC) systems on some 2021-2023MY Seltos vehicles, which may experience multiple dash warning lights illuminated and DTC C1626, due to a possible yaw rate calculation error due to wheel alignment and tire diameter differences. This logic improvement will change the threshold sensitivity setting to account for these conditions.

A flush is required ONLY when a transmission is replaced, refer to applicable vehicles in the chart starting on page 2.

VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN: TRANSFER CASE LEAKAGE/OVERHEATING WHEN USING SPARE TIRE (SC242) - This bulletin provides the procedure to inspect the front wheel transfer assembly for oil leakage and update the 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) (also referred to as All-Wheel Drive [AWD]), coupling operation logic software on certain 2021-2023MY Seltos (SP2) AWD vehicles equipped with Nu 2.0L MPI engine, produced from November 20, 2019 through May 18, 2022. Some of these vehicles may exhibit a front wheel transfer assembly oil seal leak, oil burning smell, and possible smoke due to the transfer case overheating when using the spare tire. This may be caused by AWD ECU software detection logic not detecting the installed spare tire, which would normally limit transfer case usage/operation. If the spare tire is in use and not detected, transfer case oil temperatures can rise, and a burning oil smell can be detected.

This Pitstop provides information regarding the Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) with Rear Door Logic system on all 21MY~ models equipped with this feature. This system is designed to help prevent a rear passenger from being left inside the vehicle when exiting. The "Check Rear Seats" message will display on the cluster when driver opens the front door, if during vehicle operation the rear doors (one or both) were opened and closed.

Normally, these vehicles are shipped with two (2) Smart Key FOB (A) per vehicle. At this time, only one (1) Smart Key FOB (A) will be included with the vehicle along with two (2) mechanical keys (B).
