The affected vehicles may encounter the following issues: remote Start/Climate Control function not working, vehicle Status on the Kia Access App not updating, connected routing not functioning properly.

PITSTOP: FRONT RADAR SENSOR MOUNTING INSPECTION (PS704) - This pitstop provides information regarding front radar sensor alignment on 2014MY and later vehicles that may exhibit a warning light ON related to radar sensor alignment errors in the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)/Smart Cruise Control (SCC) system.
TSB_SC1302020-12-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH REPLACEMENT (SC130) - This bulletin provides the procedure to replace the Multi-Function Switch (see below) in certain 2015~2016MY K900 (KH) Luxury V8 vehicles, equipped with LED Headlights, and produced from December 18, 2013 through January 11, 2016. Use of the headlights in AUTO mode over time may result in increased electrical resistance of the contact points, which in turn may affect the operation of the Electronic Control Unit located inside the Multi-Function Switch. If this occurs, the headlights may flicker and/or intermittently turn off while driving. To correct this condition, follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin. Before conducting the procedure, verify the vehicle is included in the list of affected VINs.

Customers may experience issues with their head units that may be related to the use of aftermarket USB charging cables, including; * Electrical interference and limited or no functionality when attempting to play music, or when charging a device through the USB port * Excessive static or noise when listening to the audio source * Malfunctions and screen freeze of the head unit screen * Slow down of the system response while device is plugged in * Music will not play from iPhone 5 or 6 with Kia iPod cable and aftermarket adapter * No or limited functionality when trying to play music from an Apple device

This procedure will now be required when ordering head units through the Direct Exchange Program (see Parts Bulletin 91-961-0005).

CRUISE CONTROL LOGIC IMPROVEMENT (SA268) - This bulletin provides information related to the ECU (Engine Control Unit) software upgrade for some K900 (KH) vehicles produced from October 15, 2015 through February 5, 2016, which may experience a difference between cruise control setting speed and actual speed displayed. To correct this condition, the ECU should be reprogrammed using the KDS download as described in this bulletin. For confirmation that the latest reflash has been applied to a vehicle you are working on, verify the ROM ID, using the tables in this TSB.

PITSTOP: HVAC VENTILATION LOGIC OPERATION - Starting with 14MY Soul (PS) (with the exception of PSEV) and complete new models such as K900 (KH), Sedona (YP), Sorento (UMa), Optima (JFa), Sportage (QL), and 17MY Forte (YD, YDm), etc., equipped with a sunroof, a ventilation logic has been applied in order to prevent exhaust gases flowing into the vehicle due to the pressure difference (inside vs outside) that is generated when driving with the sunroof open. This logic allows the system to automatically switch from RECIRCULATION to FRESH mode when the sunroof is open.

THIS SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL (SST) WAS DEVELOPED TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF UPDATING 2010MY, AND LATER, KIA AUDIO HEAD UNITS USING A GDS, AND NOW, THE SAME FUNCTIONALITY IS AVAILABLE ON KDS. SOME TECHNICIANS MAY NOT BE AWARE OF THE BENEFITS THE AUM TOOL HAS TO OFFER. THE AUM ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR MULTIPLE USB FLASH DRIVES FOR SPECIFIC VEHICLE MODELS AND APPLICATIONS WHICH, IF MISAPPLIED, MAY RESULT IN AN IMPROPER AUDIO SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATE AND/OR LOCKED UP HEAD UNIT. ADDITIONALLY, FIELD REPORTS HAVE INDICATED THAT USB DRIVES FOR AUDIO UPDATES ARE EASILY LOST OR MISPLACED.
