Follow the procedure outlined in this publication to apply the improved logic to the "IBU" system using the KDS ECU Upgrade function as described in this bulletin and replace the batteries on both of the customer’s key fobs.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN: OWNER NOTIFICATION - This document is the owner notification advising that Kia has now developed a software upgrade that can be installed on your vehicle to restrict the operation of the vehicle's ignition system should the locked vehicle be the subject of a break-in and theft attempt without the key. This software upgrade will be available free of charge for eighteen (18) months from the date of this letter. When the software upgrade is completed, Kia will also provide you with window stickers that can be applied to your vehicle to discourage a break-in.

If the vehicle body vibrates without the steering wheel shuddering when performing the creep driving test (driving the vehicle up to 3mph), the vehicle is exhibiting clutch judder. The creep test can be conducted by driving at a speed slower than 5 mph after releasing the brake.

TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: REPLACEMENT OF MOBIS C-MDPS SMALL BEARING - This bulletin provides the procedure to replace the small bearing of the Column Motor Driven Power Steering (C-MDPS) unit on the vehicles listed below, which may exhibit an abnormal noise when steering left and right. This may be caused by foreign substances in the MDPS worm shaft small bearing. On some vehicles when the steering wheel is rotated a scraping noise can be heard originating from the lower bearing on the Worm Gear Small Bearing and does not affect the steering effort.
PS7102021-10-22. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING; STRUCTURE. PITSTOP: APPEARANCE OF WATER LEAK AND/OR CONDENSATION IN REAR CENTER COMBINATION LAMP - This Pitstop provides clarification on what appears to be a water leak and/or condensation in the rear center combination lamp assembly on some 2021MY~ K5 (DL3a) vehicles. The top area of the rear center combination lamp assembly can have the appearance of condensation behind the lens. This is a normal condition for water and/or condensation to be present above the sonic weld line. As the weld forms a lip along the top of the rear combination lamp, water may enter the back side of the lens but does not actually enter the inside of the lamp housing. Replacement of the rear center combination lamp is not necessary.

Generally, a fogging condition is considered normal and can be eliminated by turning on the headlamps with the engine running for up to 30 minutes or during normal driving conditions. Headlamp assembly replacement WILL NOT be necessary in most cases.
