Issue: While carrying out the Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) using Pathfinder it may be found that the passive start and lock/ unlock functionality using the key remote is not operating. The 'D' may flash on the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) and/or Instrument Cluster after an auto stop/start event. Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) P0715-64 and P0700-02 may be stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and a 'Gearbox Fault' warning message may be displayed on the Instrument Cluster.

A rattle noise may be evident from the engine compartment and/or the engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may be illuminated on the Instrument Cluster. An issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range which may experience the Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS) system 'freeze' on the current channel, not allowing users to select another channel. This issue is a result of having InControl® Touch? Phase 3.0 software previously installed on the vehicle.

SSM738242018-06-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Customers report the ECO Stop/Start is not working. Retailers are testing the primary battery using the Midtronics EXP-1080 tester which is reporting the battery is serviceable. The vehicle then returns with the same Customer concern of ECO Stop/Start inoperative. If a Midtronics GRX-3080 is used, the primary battery fails the test. Replacement of the primary battery resolves the concern.

Issue: The technician may notice that the All Terrain Control Module (ATCM) shows offline within the ECU diagnostics menu, of Pathfinder. The concern prevents the technician from using Pathfinder to diagnose or rectify concerns with ATCM.
