| 1995110 | 1995-06-21. Steering. DEFECT: THE CASTLE NUTS ON THE BALL STUDS OF THE TIE ROD ENDS MAY NOT BE TIGHTENED TO ROCKWELL'S SPECIFIED TORQUE. EXCESSIVELY LOW TORQUE MAY ALLOW MOVEMENT BETWEEN THE BALL STUD AND THE TIE ROD ARM WHICH MAY DAMAGE THESE MATING PARTS AND POTENTIALLY AFFECT THE DRIVER'S ABILITY TO STEER THE VEHICLE RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE CRASH. CORRECTION: AFFECTED AXLES WILL BE INSPECTED AND EITHER RETORQUED OR REPLACED AS REQUIRED. |
