Recalls that may apply to the 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

20V2480002020-05-04. AIR BAGS:FRONTAL. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2016 Genesis Coupe vehicles. The mounting bolts securing the driver-side frontal air bag may have been insufficiently tightened, potentially causing the air bag to detach from the steering wheel.
16V7220002016-10-07. AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2010-2016 Genesis Coupe vehicles manufactured December 12, 2008, to June 11, 2016. The electrical harness connector for the front passenger seat Occupant Classification System (OCS) may dislodge when the seat is moved. Built 2008-12-12 to 2016-06-11.

20231252023-03-08. Brakes. Issue: Hyundai is conducting a special service campaign that provides anti-corrosion treatment to certain underbody components. Over time, components under the vehicle, including brake lines could corrode. If this happens, a brake line could fail and leak. A brake fluid leak can result in reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the underbody, including the brake lines. The dealer will apply an anti-corrosion treatment to certain parts, and replace the brake lines if necessary.
20201922020-05-01. Airbag. Issue: On certain cars, the bolts that attach the driver-front airbag may not be tightened correctly. As a result, the airbag could become loose. If you continue to operate the vehicle with a loose airbag, it may detach from the steering wheel. Safety Risk: An airbag that is loose or detaches from the steering wheel could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your car to a dealer to inspect the driver-front airbag mounting bolts and tighten them, if necessary.
20165082016-10-17. Airbag. On certain vehicles, objects or debris located under the front passenger seat could contact the electrical connector of the Occupant Classification System (OCS) and disconnect the connector if the seat is moved. This would disable the OCS and illuminate the instrument cluster Air Bag warning lamp. If the OCS is disabled, the first stage front passenger airbag would deploy in a frontal collision, regardless of the weight and size of the front passenger seat occupant. If the seat were to be occupied by a child seat or small statured occupant, it could increase the risk of injury. Additionally, this condition could cause the second stage of the frontal passenger airbag to fail to deploy during a crash, which could increase the risk of injury to the front passenger seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will secure the OCS connector to prevent it from being disconnected.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
