2024-05-24. Electrical. Issue: On certain trucks, the repairs completed by a General Motors dealer during recall N192220470 (Transport Canada recall no. 2019-325) or customer satisfaction program no. N192270330 may not have been completed properly. As a result, a second repair is required. Additionally, certain trucks may not have had the updated parts installed during production. On certain trucks equipped with a power sliding rear window, the rear defroster wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the contact cover for the sliding rear window. The dealer will also update the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) software, if necessary. If the rear window or sliding glass assembly are damaged, they will be replaced.

2019-06-28. Electrical. Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a power sliding rear window, the rear defroster circuit could overheat. This could cause melting, smoke or, in rare instances, a fire. Safety Risk: A fire could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the covers for the buss bar and contacts for the rear sliding window. If the rear window or sliding glass assembly are damaged due to a problem with the rear defroster, they will also be replaced.
2015-10-08. Electrical. On certain vehicles, a defect in the ignition lock actuator may make turning the ignition key difficult or cause the key to get stuck in the “start” position. This may be more likely to occur at higher interior ambient temperatures. If the vehicle is driven with the key stuck in the “start” position, and the vehicle experiences a significant jarring event or the vehicle’s interior temperature cools, the ignition key could move out of the “start” position, rotate past the “run” position, and move into the “accessory” position, causing the engine to shut off. This would result in a loss of motive power and affect power steering and power brake system function, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. The timing of the key movement out of the “run” position, relative to the activation of the sensing algorithm in a crash event, may also result in the airbags not deploying in a subsequent collision, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the ignition lock housing.
2014-10-03. Electrical. On certain vehicles, the chassis electronic module may have been contaminated at time of manufacture, which could cause an electrical short to occur within the module. This could cause the vehicle's check engine light to be displayed, or cause the engine to fail to start or stall, resulting in a loss of motive power. If the vehicle is equipped to support electric trailer brakes, the vehicle could also lose trailer brake function and display a "Service Trailer Brake System" indicator. These issues could increase the risk of a crash resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the module with a revised part.
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
