Service bulletins for the 2023 Genesis GV60

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Certain GV60 (JW1 EV) and G90 (RS4) vehicles may exhibit an inability to perform Over the Air (OTA) software updates due to an internal logic error that prevents the updates from being completed properly. This bulletin provides instructions to perform a Data Connectivity Unit (DCU) software update to correct this condition.
26-01-072G DCS2026-09-11. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain GV60 (JW1 EV) and G90 (RS4) vehicles may exhibit an inability to perform Over the Air (OTA)software updates due to an internal logic error that prevents the updates from being completed properly.
26-01-035G DCS2026-04-15. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Connected Car Services (CCS) functions. This may be due to an occasional disconnection on Verizon's communication network. Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 26-01-035G provides instructions to verify Connected Car Data Communication Unit (DCU) network connection and if needed, reset the DCU in Dealer Mode to resolve the connection.
26-01-035G TSB2026-04-15. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Connected Car Services (CCS) functions. This may be due to an occasional disconnection on Verizon’s communication network. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to verify Connected Car Data Communication Unit (DCU) network connection and if needed, reset the DCU in Dealer Mode to resolve the connection.
25-01-018G-1 TSB2025-05-27.
25-01-011H EM2025-03-14. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Connected Car Services (CCS) functions. This may be due to an occasional disconnection on Verizon’s communication network.
25-01-018G TSB2025-03-05.
24-01-091G TSB2024-12-11. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain 2023-2025MY GV70 Electrified (JK1A EV), 2023-25MY GV60 (JW1 EV) and 2023-25MY G80 Electrified (RG3 EV) vehicles may exhibit a condition while driving where the 12V battery voltage drops below the operational voltage and the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) places the vehicle in “Limp Home” mode. The VCU software in this bulletin updates the maximum vehicle speeds for various levels of 12V battery voltage when the vehicle enters “Limp Home” mode.
24-01-083G2024-12-03. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain GV60 (JW1 EV) vehicles may exhibit a condition where a cell voltage variation becomes active after charging. The Battery Management System (BMS) software logic could cause an HV battery cell voltage to be misread under specific conditions resulting in a false-positive DTC, MIL on, and 80% maximum HV battery charge limit. There is no other effect on the vehicle and all systems remain operational. With this update the charging logic is also improved for charging calibration and climate control functions in the Genesis Connect app. Regardless of whether the vehicle has an active DTC P1AA900 or not, follow the procedure in this TSB to update the software for the Battery Management System (BMS).
24-01-006G2024-09-25. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This message provides instructions for vehicles experiencing an incomplete Over-The-Air (“OTA”) AVN software update.
24-01-006G2024-09-07. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Genesis has become aware that some vehicles may experience an incomplete Over-The-Air (“OTA”) AVN software update.
24-01-070G2024-09-03. Service campaign. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Certain GV60 (JW1 EV) vehicles may exhibit a condition where DTC P1AA900 becomes active after charging. The Battery Management System (BMS) software logic could cause an HV battery cell voltage to be misread under specific conditions resulting in a false-positive DTC P1AA900, MIL on, and 80% maximum HV battery charge limit. There is no other effect on the vehicle and all systems remain operational. Regardless of whether the vehicle has an active DTC P1AA900 or not, follow the procedure in this TSB to update the software for the Battery Management System (BMS).
24-01-051G2024-08-07. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain GV70 Electrified (JK1A EV), GV60 (JW1 EV), and G80 Electrified (RG3 EV) vehicles may exhibit a condition while charging with a 240V AC (Level 2) charger where the vehicle experiences an interrupted charging session or a lower charging speed. This occurs to prevent potential damage to the charging cable connection. Follow the procedure in this TSB to update the software logic for the Vehicle Charging Management System (VCMS), which initiates a self-restart that allows the vehicle charging to return to full capacity once stabilized.
24-01-052G2024-08-07. Service campaign. VISIBILITY/WIPER. Certain 2023-24MY GV60 (JW1) vehicles may exhibit a condition where the outside mirrors do not correctly fold/unfold. Follow the procedure in this bulletin to update the LH/RH outside mirror controllers.
24-01-041G2024-06-04. Service campaign. BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING. Some vehicle may experience an inoperable Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) function while Rear Cross – Traffic Collision – Avoidance (RCCA) is active. An inoperable AEB could increase the risk of collision. This service campaign provides instructions to utilize the GDS to update the Integrated Electronic Braking (IEB) variant code for vehicles.
