Due to electronic control supply shortages, vehicles shipped without the Intelligent Powertrain Predictive Cruise (IPPC) module. The purpose of the IPPC module is to improve fuel efficiency when the Predictive Cruise Control feature is enabled. Not having the IPM does not affect othercruise control functions, such as Adaptive Cruise Control or standard cruise control.
SS1034428-FTL222022-05-03. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE. Service Solution for Cummins Engine andWABCO OnGuard (Obtaining Cruise When AdaptiveCruise Is Interrupted). Interruption of the forward radar system results in loss of both standard and adaptive cruise functions. The OnGuard system will recover (self-heal), once the issue goes away, but the drivercannot get Adaptive Cruise Control functional until the ignition switch is cycled. Applies to all New Cascadia vehicles built with Cummins engines and WABCO OnGuard.

No symptoms associated with this Service Solution, only information related to the “Low Variant’Single Signal Detection and Actuation Module (sSAM ). Due to electronic driver shortages, low variant sSAM were created for installation on vehicles not requiring the full use of sSAM drivers. The low variant module eliminates 7 pins in the sSAM.
