Service bulletins for the 2017 Ford Transit
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 18-2321 | 2018-11-19. Service bulletin. ENGINE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2015-2018 Transit vehicles built on or before 24-Jul-2018 may exhibit various drivability concerns including difficulty starting, misfires and/or an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P00BD, P1247, P1548, P061B, P2195, P2198, P2196, P2197, P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175, P0131 and/or P162F stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to undesired water entry into the engine compartment directly over powertrain components. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |

| TSB18-2094 | 2018-05-21. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2018 Transit vehicles equipped with a 3.2L Duratorq diesel engine and built on or before 13-Feb-2018 may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P24A0 and/or P26A0 in the powertrain control module (PCM). Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |
| SSM 46900 | 2018-01-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a no start condition with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and a DTC P161A after PCM replacement. This may be due to the parameter reset procedure not being properly completed. To clear this DTC, use the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool or Ford J2534 Diagnostic Software, select - Toolbox - Body - Security - PATS Functions - Parameter Reset. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure. This procedure will transfer the existing Key ID information between the modules without the need of having 2 programmed PATS keys present. There is no need to program keys when the PCM is going to be replaced. Additional information can be found in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-01. Missing or lost keys are not warrantable. |
| SSM 46890 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Some 2017 F-Super Duty/2016-2017 F650-750 equipped with 6.7L diesel engines and 2015-2017 Transit equipped with 3.2L diesel engines may exhibit a MIL on with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C stored in powertrain control module(PCM). This may be due to incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Prior to performing Powertrain Control and Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) pinpoint test RJ, ensure DEF concentration is checked using Central Tools Refractometer tool number CEN3R201 and if DEF contamination is suspected use the Rotunda Hydrocarbon Test Kit tool number 328-480508. |
| SSM 46066 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2013-2017 F-Super Duty, 2015-2017 Transit and 2016-2017 F650-F750 vehicles equipped with a diesel engine may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2201 (NOX Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1) in the powertrain control module (PCM). When repairing DTC P2201, refer to the online version of the powertrain control/emission diagnostic (PC/ED) manual for the latest diagnostics. The pinpoint test RD and diagnostic trouble code chart have been updated in section 4 and 5 for DTC P2201. |
