Service bulletins for the 2022 Ford Mustang
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 51232 | 2023-01-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Some 2018-2022 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine and a 10R80 transmission may exhibit a buck/jerk sensation that may be perceived as an engine misfire during throttle tip-in between 35-45 MPH (56-72 KPH) and with the transmission in 8th, 9th, or 10th gear. This buck/jerk sensation can be compared to a like vehicle that is equipped with a similar powertrain (engine, transmission, and rear end gear ratio) and driven in the same manner. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will not set because of this condition. If a misfire DTC is present, the DTC should be diagnosed first following the correct diagnostic procedure outlined in the Workshop Manual, Section 303-07B. |

| TSB 22-2185 | 2022-05-16. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Some 2021-2022 Mustang vehicles built on or before 21-Apr-2022 and equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0300 and/or P0316 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to various strategies within the PCM software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM. |
