Service bulletins for the 2018 Ford Mustang
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 47082 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. SEAT BELTS:FRONT:RETRACTOR. Some 2018 Mustang convertibles may exhibit a slow/no retraction of the driver or passenger front seat belt shoulder harness. This may be due to increased resistance of the belt going through the shoulder web guide on the seat back. To verify, remove the shoulder belt from the web guide on the seat and identify if the seat belt will now retract normally. If a slow/no retraction still exists, Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-20 for further diagnosis. If normal operation resumes, do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates. |
