Service bulletins for the 2015 Ford Mustang
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 47364 | 2018-07-23. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. Some 2015-2018 Mustang GT350s may exhibit an engine oil leak that appears to be originating from the oil filter adapter or oil cooler. If the leak appears to be originating from the oil cooler, be aware that the leak may actually be originating from the oil filter adapter, and oil may run down the oil cooler tubes and drip off of the cooler, making it appear that the leak is originating from the oil cooler. If the true source of the leak is caused by a damaged O-ring where the oil cooler tubes meet the oil filter adapter, be aware that these O-rings are now available as a separate service part from the oil cooler tubes. Replacement O-rings can be ordered using part number FR3Z-00815-A. For claiming, use causal part 6B850 and applicable labor operations in Section 6 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |

| TSB18-2166 | 2018-07-23. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2015-2017 Mustang vehicles may exhibit poor A/C performance. If the cause of this is found to be a refrigerant leak from the evaporator, it is recommended to replace only the evaporator as opposed to the entire climate control housing. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |
| SSM 47012 | 2018-06-11. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2015-2018 F-150, Mustang and Transit vehicles built on or before 01-Dec-2017 may have a concern of no airflow from the climate control vents. This may be caused by a seized or sticking A/C clutch. This can be repaired by replacing only the A/C clutch (19D786/19D784). The compressor assembly (19703) may not be required. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 412-00 for A/C clutch removal. It may be necessary to lightly tap around the stuck area of the clutch with a rubber mallet to free it from the pulley for removal. Refer to applicable labor operations from Section 11 of the SLTS maunual when replacing the A/C clutch. |
| SSM 46995 | 2018-06-11. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE. Some 2015-2017 Mustang Convertibles built on or before 1-Feb-2017 may exhibit wear marks or damage to the exterior surface of the convertible top in the area of the front outer edges. This may be due to contact between the convertible top and the tonneau covers that may be installed on the vehicle by the customer when the top is in the open position. If the tonneau covers have been installed on the vehicle, and the wear/damage is located in the area where the tonneau covers overlap the convertible top, replace the convertible top material. Refer to WSM, Section 501-18. Discard the original tonneau covers, and supply the customer with new tonneau covers, part numbers FR3Z-7631004-CB and FR3Z-7631005-CB. For claiming, use causal part 7631004 and applicable labor operations in section 12 of the service labor time standards (SLTS) manual. |
