Service bulletins for the 2019 Ford F-750

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 516912023-06-16. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. 2011-2023 F-Super Duty and 2016-2024 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this elevated idle to reduce unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR. The powertrain control module estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 RPM for ambient temperatures near 26°C (80°F) and may increase to 1200 RPM at -40 °C (-40°F). Vehicles may exhibit exhaust smoke and diesel exhaust fluid smell during elevated idle condition. Exhaust smoke and smell condition will not affect reliability or durability of the engine. Power take-off (PTO) use and idle set point control will disable elevated speed. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to any Exhaust Filter warning messages.
TSB19-21422019-06-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty chassis cab/dual rear wheel (DRW) pickup vehicles and 2016-2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit a concern of oil consumption in applications where the engine is idled for extended periods of time. This may be due to high crankcase pressure as a result of the crankcase ventilation filter element becoming restricted. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the crankcase oil separator. The new crankcase vent oil separator appears different from the old crankcase vent oil separator as it no longer includes a serviceable filter element. Follow the service procedure steps to correct the condition.
TSB 19-20292019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine built on or before 9-Jan-2019 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with DTCs P2074 and/or P0170. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SSM 477122019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines, 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines and 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). Review of repair data supports that P206C is often the result of incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Per Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Pinpoint Test (PPT) RJ, a DEF concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition.
SSM 476412019-01-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. Some 2011-2019 F-Super Duty, 2015-2019 Transit, 2016-2019 F-650/F-750 and 2018 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L, 3.2L or 3.0L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P207F, P20EE, P229F, P2201 and/or P24AE. This may be a result of using aftermarket cleaning liquids or tools for the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler or intake. Ford does not recommend the cleaning of diesel intakes or EGR coolers using any aftermarket tool that injects a cleaning foam or liquid substance into the EGR cooler or intake. Using these types of fluids can result in sodium poisoning of the NOx and particulate matter (PM) sensors resulting in degraded operation and permanent damage to the aftertreatment system. Use of these cleaning tools may void the emissions warranty of the hot end aftertreatment exhaust system and the attached emissions sensors.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
