SSM 512542023-01-05. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:CRANK/CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. Some 2020-2022 Escape/Corsair/F-53 Motorhome/F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis, 2021-2023 F-650/F-750/E-Series, and 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles may exhibit an intermittent no crank/no start condition and/or an intermittent blank instrument panel cluster (IPC)/SYNC touchscreen. This may be due to the software in the gateway module (GWM). To correct the condition, reprogram the GWM using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming use causal part 14F642 and the applicable labor operations of Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

LANE DEPARTURE. 2020 Transit, F-Super Duty, F-53 Motorhome/F-59 Commercial, 2021 F-650/F-750/E-series incomplete, chassis Cab, cutaway and stripped chassis vehicles equipped with a lane keeping or departure system are not calibrated from the factory to support final modifications. The final stage manufacturer is responsible for verifying that the lane keeping or departure system camera sensor is properly calibrated within Ford specifications once vehicles are completed. Calibrating the lane keeping or departure system utilizes the Ford scan tool to calibrate the front view camera. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) section 419-07. Do not submit a claim for this condition.
