Service bulletins for the 2020 Ford F-350

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 488202020-06-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2020 F-350, F-450, and F-550 F-Super Duty chassis cab vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine and 10R140 automatic transmission may exhibit a delay/bump feel when pulling away from a stop. This may be due to the neutral idle feature that automatically reduces the load on the engine when the vehicle stops, and the gear selector is in DRIVE to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The transmission automatically resumes operation when the brake is released. The neutral idle feature activates when the transmission is sufficiently warmed, and the vehicle is on level grade. Do not attempt any repairs for this condition. Refer to Owners Manual Transmission Section for more information.
TSB 20-20872020-04-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2015-2019 Transit vehicles equipped with a 3.2L engine, 2018-2020 F150 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine, 2017-2020 Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine built on or after 13-May-2017 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2002 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a crack in the diesel particulate filter (DPF) substrate. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the DPF.

SSM 485392020-03-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. SSM 48539 - 2017-2020 F-Super Duty/2018-2020 F-150 - 6.7L/3.0L - Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P208E - Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Injector Testing Some 2017-2020 F-Super Duty/2018-2020 F-150 vehicles equipped with the 6.7L or 3.0L engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with DTC P208E in the powertrain control module (PCM). When performing pinpoint test RK, the results of the selective catalyst reductant (SCR) dosing measurement test (RK7) may be zero or below the specified 40-50mL requirement due to urea crystals plugging the DEF injector nozzle. If the measurement is below this specified amount, perform pinpoint test step RK7 two additional times. If the specified amount is met, reinstall the reductant injector. If after three attempts the dosing measurement remains below the specified amount, the DEF injector should be replaced. The DEF pump should not be replaced for DTC P208E.
SSM 484892020-02-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P203B. If performing pinpoint test RJ in the Powertrain Control and Emission Diagnosis (PC/ED) does not identify an issue, do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is currently investigating. Monitor OASIS for updates.
