Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles and 2018 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a concern where the radio reverts to an AM or FM station after shutting the vehicle off, leaving it off for at least 20 minutes, and then starting it back up. Do not perform any repairs for this concern. If a vehicle exhibits this concern, please use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of the OASIS tab and submit a report. Engineering is investigating. Monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 476152018-11-19. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD; EQUIPMENT. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a whistle type noise from under the hood while under load and/or while driving. Make sure there is a proper connection between the air cleaner lower intake duct, located under the battery tray, and the air cleaner. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-12C and WSM, Section 414-01 for further information.
SSM 474022018-09-10. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; EQUIPMENT. When performing diagnostics for DTCs P2201, P2452, P2459, P246C and/or P2463, a manual regeneration and diesel particulate filter (DPF) parameter reset using the appropriate scan tool may need to be performed. To perform the manual regeneration, go to the Toolbox tab > Powertrain > Service Functions > Diesel Particulate Regeneration System > DPF Manual Regeneration. The scan tool may indicate that a regeneration of the DPF is not recommended at this time, selecting YES on this screen will allow the regeneration process to complete. To perform the DPF parameter reset, go to the Toolbox tab > Powertrain > Service Functions > Diesel Particulate Regeneration System > DPF Parameter Reset.
SSM 473542018-07-23. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL:FLASHER UNIT; EQUIPMENT; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty pickups may exhibit an instrument panel cluster (IPC) turn signal indicator that flashes fast with no inoperative turn signal lamps after the pickup box has been removed by the upfitter. This may be due to the body control module (BCM) not recognizing the modified lower current turn signal lighting that was installed. To correct this concern, use Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool version 104.04 or later to configure turn lamp outage settings as required. Under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > exterior lighting, select rear bulb turn outage and outage ABM and change the setting on each parameter from outage to no outage. Changes to lamp outage settings on pickups as a result of upfitter modifications are non-warrantable. Upfitters are responsible for FMVSS 108 compliance.
SSM 473462018-07-23. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine built on or before 6-Dec-2017 may exhibit an exhaust odor in the vehicle cabin. This may be due to a leak at the turbocharger inlet clamps. Performing a pressurized smoke test on the exhaust system will aid in locating the source of a leak. While performing the smoke test, the use of a small mirror can help identify leaks underneath the clamps. Refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual Pinpoint Test KA, Step KA3. Note that the turbo charger is not a contributing factor in the exhaust leak issue.
SSM 473432018-07-23. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2015-2018 F-150 and 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of cooling from the heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) system due to a low refrigerant charge. Using an ultraviolet (UV) leak detection light, inspect the condenser near the receiver/dryer cap for the presence of dye. If dye is present, replace the condenser. For claiming, use causal part 19712 and applicable labor operations in Section 11 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual
TSB18-21332018-07-23. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine built on or before 15-Mar-2018 may exhibit an illuminated WIF indicator with DTCs P1140, P2266 and/or P2269 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to water intrusion into connector C3080 at the WIF sensor. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SSM 472102018-05-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit incorrect air temperature from the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) outlets with DTC B1081:07 in the front controls interface module (FCIM). This may be due to binding of the blend door in the HVAC housing or binding between the temperature door actuator and the cam to the temperature door. Replacement of temperature door actuator and cam driver is recommended if the blend door is not binding. Note that removal of the cam driver follower from the blend door shaft can result in damage.
SSM 472092018-05-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.2L or 6.8L gas engine may exhibit multiple warning indicators in the instrument panel cluster and/or inoperative radio during snow plow use. Battery state of charge is important to verify prior to any repairs. 12.72v to 12.8v is a fully charged battery. To assist with the investigation use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of the OASIS report and include the following information: What brand of plow the vehicle is equipped with, If it's been equipped by the plow manufacturer's specifications, If other equipment is up-fitted on the vehicle, ambient temperature when the concern occurs, Engine RPM and MPH/KPH, and battery state of charge.
