Service bulletins for the 2026 Ford Escape

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 546102026-03-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Some 2025-2026 Escape/Corsair PHEV only vehicles built on 21-Jul-2025 and through 27-Oct-2025 may exhibit an intermittent no crank/no start condition with an illuminated MIL and Service Engine Soon message in the message center with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P1A42:00 and/or P1A0F:87 or stored in the battery energy control module (BECM). This may be due to the software in the gateway module (GWM). Reprogramming or replacing the secondary on-board diagnostic module-C (SOBDMC) or the BECM will not resolve this condition. For vehicles that exhibit this condition, download and run the "GWM - Gateway Module A (GWM) Software Update" application using the latest version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming use causal part 14G490 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4.
SSM 545952026-02-27. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2025 Maverick/Corsair and 2025-2026 Escape/Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with an 8F35 transmission and built on 01-Sep-2024 and through 15-Sep-2025 may exhibit a condition where the vehicle will not shift out of Park (P) and exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P07E6, P0760, P0761, P2706, P2707 and/or P2702 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct the condition, replace the main control valve body. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01. For claiming, use causal part 7A100 and labor operations 7001D and 7001D14.
SSM 546012026-02-27. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with wired keyless entry keypad systems and accessory wireless keyless entry keypad systems may or may not come with a wallet card containing the master code. Unlike the integrated wired keypad, the accessory wireless keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool or from the label printed on the body control module (BCM). The Factory Keyless Entry Code application within the diagnostic scan tool will not provide an applicable master code for the accessory wireless keypad. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is not available, the "Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide" can be referenced and provides direction on how to retrieve the master code. This guide is located under the Workshop Manual tab > Accessories > Installation > Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide > PPT C > Step C2.<br /><br /> Note: The only available keypad for some vehicles from the assembly plant is the accessory wireless keyless entry keypad. The integrated wired keypad cannot be installed on vehicles not equipped from the factory with a wired keyless entry k
SSM 545862026-02-19. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Some 2025-2026 Escape/Maverick/Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with an 8-inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a condition where the fuel gauge displays up to the 8th mark below full fuel level when the fuel tank is full. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected by the end of Q2 2026. Replacement/reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Monitor PTS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If this condition is encountered, enter a vehicle identification number (VIN) and click the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the PTS "Vehicle ID" screen. Fill out the GCR form, referencing this article number in the report.
SSM 545402026-02-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some 2025-2026 Escape/Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine may require replacement of the engine thermostat due to various concerns. Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-03A Engine Cooling > Thermostat Housing > Removal and Installation has been updated with a revised service procedure eliminating the need to remove the generator assembly to gain access to the thermostat housing.
SSM 545222026-02-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025-2026 Escape vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0073 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) and/or B1B38 stored in the body control module (BCM). The vehicle may also exhibit no ambient air temperature reading shown in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and/or center display screen. This may be due to a pinched, chafed, or severed wiring harness 15K867. To inspect the suspect area of the harness for damage, turn the steering wheel to the left and remove the four lower push pins from the front passenger side fender liner. Gently fold the liner inward and visually inspect the visible portion of harness 15K867 below the passenger side headlamp and follow the harness down behind the visible parts behind the front parking aid sensors.
SSM 544912026-01-21. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021-2026 Escape/Corsair vehicles equipped with a roof opening panel may exhibit a sunshield with localized looseness/sagging or binding/inoperative. This may be due to a broken or missing sunshield fabric retainer/clip. A revised sunshield clip (5452118) is available to address this condition. It is not necessary to replace the entire sunshield assembly if the clip(s) are broken or missing. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17 Roof Opening Panel for inspection and replacement of the roof opening panel shield clip.
TSB 25-24792025-11-13. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING; LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION.
