Service bulletins for the 2022 Ford Edge
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 50473 | 2022-02-16. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. 2021-2022 various Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit an erroneous diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U1A01:93 stored in the telematics control unit (TCU). This may be due to various software parameters within the TCU. If this DTC is identified during normal diagnostics, but the vehicle does not exhibit any customer concerns around the TCU operation, clear this DTC and no further repairs are recommended. If the DTC returns after being cleared or if the vehicle exhibits connectivity concerns with the TCU, continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics. If set erroneously, this DTC does not cause any observable concerns or warning messages and does not affect vehicle performance or durability. Ford is developing a software update which will be delivered to the vehicle via an over-the-air (OTA) TCU update in July 2022 to prevent this DTC from setting erroneously. |

| SSM 50456 | 2022-02-16. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION; BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Some 2021-2022 Edge vehicles may exhibit various image issues such as infrared, distorted, glitching, flickering or fuzzy image in the rear view camera with DTC C1001 stored in the Image Processing Module B or Sync module and/or B115E stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to a poor circuit connection. Inspect both male and female sides of connectors C4357 and C2383A for loose, bent, or damaged terminals. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-00 General Information > Wire Terminal Inspection and Removal. If there is damage detected, refer to cell 005 of the wiring diagram to perform the repair procedure. In addition to the wiring inspection, make sure the IPMB and the APIM are in the latest software level. If there is no damage, continue with the normal diagnosis. |
