SSM 480492019-07-08. Service bulletin. Some 2015-2017 F-150/Mustang, 2015-2018 Edge/MKC, 2016-2018 MKX, 2013-2018 Explorer/Taurus/Flex/MKT, and 2017-2018 Fusion/MKZ/Continental vehicles built on or before 19-Oct-2017 may exhibit an inoperative adaptive cruise control, collision warning, and/or collision avoidance system with a Pre-Collision Assist Not Available, Collision Warning Not Available, and/or Adaptive Cruise Fault message present in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3000:49 present in the cruise control module (CCM). To resolve the condition, reprogram the CCM using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 9E731 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 478542019-04-03. Service bulletin. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty, 2017-2019 Continental, 2016-2019 Edge, 2016-2018 MKX, 2019 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a U3000:49 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) setting in the Steering Effort Control Module (SECM) with no other DTCs present. To eliminate the DTC, perform the IDS SASM module reset routine. The IDS reset routine is available under Toolbox > Chassis > Steering > Adaptive Front Steering > SASM Module Reset. Do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates. SSM 472352018-05-21. Service bulletin. Some 2016 Edge/MKX vehicles may exhibit an illuminated adaptive/active steering fault message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U3000, C2003, B137F, B1380, U210A, and U2000 stored in the SECM. If these DTCs are present, replace the SECM. Use causal part 3600 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 460482017-08-01. Service bulletin. Some 2016-2017 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may have DTCs U3000:04, B108E:12 and/or U1A00:87 present in the APIM. If these DTCs are present and no other symptoms are reported by the customer, then clear the DTCs and retest. If the DTC(s) do not return then no further repairs should be attempted. If one or more DTCs return as current faults and/or the customer reports other symptoms, then refer to Workshop Manual, Section 415-00 for further diagnostics. The SYNC version can be confirmed via OASIS.

IF DTC U3000:96 IS PRESENT, THE SECM MUST BE REPLACED. IF DTC U3000:96 IS NOT PRESENT, REPROGRAM THE SECM TO THE LATEST CALIBRATION USING INTEGRATED DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM (IDS) RELEASE 102.05 OR HIGHER.
