Service bulletins for the 2024 Ford Bronco

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

TSB 25-23252025-08-19. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an air register that is broken or loose. This may be due to the register barrel detaching from the register assembly. Removal of the instrument panel is no longer required.
SSM 540902025-08-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2021-2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC4/Digital Experience may exhibit an unsuccessful telematics control unit module (TCU) software update or software activation during a universal serial bus (USB) update. This may be due to the vehicle connectivity setting being disabled.
SSM 540642025-07-24. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2024-2025 Bronco vehicles equipped with a painted hard top may exhibit a strong plastic odor inside the cabin coming from the painted hard top during high temperatures and/or after extended periods of sun exposure. This is part of the normal material break-in process for the removable roof panels. This break-in process can be accelerated through exposure to heat over time such as leaving the vehicle parked in direct sunlight on warm days. To dissipate the odor, instruct customers to use air conditioning with the recirculate function off and/or open the side windows to vent the interior cabin.
SSM 540162025-07-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some 2021-2025 Bronco and 2024-2025 Ranger vehicles equipped with a 2.7L/3.0L EcoBoost engine may require removal of the engine front cover due to various concerns. Workshop Manual, Section 303-01 has been updated with improved engine front cover removal and installation service procedure steps including a new body removal and install step.
SSM 539812025-07-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a rattle from the front windows with the windows placed in the partially down position and driving over rough roads and/or bumps. This may be due to the interface between the window glass and the body mounted glass run. To correct this condition, replace the body mounted glass runs using the body mounted glass run kit (3 door: M2DZ-9821597-E, and 5 door: M2DZ-7821597-F) which contains updated seals for improved sealing performance. For claiming, use causal part 9821597/7821597 and labor operations 23943A and 23943A19 in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 539732025-07-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE. Some 2021-2024 Edge/Nautilus, 2021-2025 Bronco/Bronco Sport/E-Series/Escape/Corsair/Expedition/Navigator/Explorer/Aviator/F-150/F-Super Duty/Mustang/Ranger, and 2022-2025 Maverick vehicles may require an A/C compressor clutch assembly replacement be performed for various concerns. Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00 Removal and Installation has been updated to eliminate the need to remove and install the A/C compressor to change out the A/C Compressor clutch assembly.
SSM 539622025-06-24. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021-2025 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the A-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors. If a leak is identified from this area, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-18 Pinpoint Test (PPT) G for water leak diagnosis. If the PPT leads to the replacement of the header seal, a revised header seal has been released for service (M2DZ-7803110-H) which contains a thicker consistent bead of butyl across the entire length of the seal. The header seal will need to be firmly depressed and massaged to make sure all of the butyl that is across the entire header seal will properly adhere to the body, creating a water-tight seal. For claiming, use causal part 7803110 and labor operation 03110A in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 538692025-06-11. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION; WHEELS. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles built on or before 01-Jan-2025 equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine and 10R60 automatic transmission may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304 and may be accompanied by a buck/jerk sensation while driving between 35-55 mph (56-89 km/h) in gears 7-10. If the condition remains after normal engine misfire diagnostics and associated repairs have been performed, the condition may be related to driveline torsional vibration induced by the rear wheels and/or rear axle assembly. The driveline torsional harmonics/vibrations are incorrectly identified by the misfire monitor as an engine misfire. Perform standard road force wheel balancing of all four tire and wheel assemblies and retest. If the condition continues to occur, replace the ring and pinion gearset in the rear axle. For claiming, use causal part 4209 and applicable labor operations found in Section 04 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a repeat loss of window initialization which results in a loss of short drop and/or one-touch up and one-touch down feature operation. This may be due to a recent short drop enhancement that is contained in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) software.
TSB 25-22062025-05-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an incorrectly illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P1299, P1026, and P2C39.

SSM 536742025-04-30. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit paint wearing along on the top inner edge of the tailgate where the rear window weather strip contacts the tailgate. This may be due to the accumulation of dirt between the rear window seal and tailgate. Inform customers that engineering is aware of this condition and is currently working on a solution which is expected in Q3 2025. Schedule a service visit for customers when the repair is available in Q3 2025. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

This may be due to the remote keyless entry (RKE) antenna connection being left loose or disconnected during trailer tow kit installation. Verify that the vehicle is equipped with the trailer tow kit by checking the window sticker for the trailer tow kit option. If the vehicle was equipped with this dealer installed option, before performing normal diagnostics, inspect the RKE antenna connections located behind the left/rear interior quarter panel. If they are loose or unplugged, re-secure the connector(s) and retest operation. If no loose or unplugged connections are found, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-01 for normal diagnostics. If this vehicle does not have the dealer installed option, refer to the WSM, Section 419-01 for normal diagnostics.

Drivers of some 2020-2025 Escape, 2021-2025 Bronco Sport and 2022-2025 Maverick vehicles may report the uncommanded locking of the driver door after the door is closed. This may be due to the driver placing their hand on the interior front door handle and inadvertently pushing the manual door lock toggle into the lock position. If the lock and latching mechanisms are functioning normally, and if there are no related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) or other issues identified, then the system is operating as designed.

This may be due to non-factory sized tires that may cause inaccurate speedometer readings that can impact the functionality of the CCM. When a vehicle is modified in this manner, replacement or realignment of the CCM may impact the normal operation of the system and/or performance of radar and camera-based features. Repair or replacement of the CCM when a vehicle is equipped with non-factory size tires may not be warrantable and subject to chargeback.
