Service bulletins for the 2023 Ford Bronco
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 51377 | 2023-03-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD; EQUIPMENT. 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles are equipped with a smart windshield wiper motor, which has the capability of sensing load of the wiper blades coming across the windshield glass. As a result of this operational characteristic/design, the operation may not be what is expected in certain conditions. The vehicle is programmed with protection features to prevent damage to the wiper motor in case of overheating, operation with dry windshields, or obstructions to the wiper blade (snow, ice, etc.). In such conditions, the wiper motor will temporarily reduce its speed and/or reduce area of cleaning until the condition is no longer present. |
| SSM 51376 | 2023-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a creak/pop type noise when any of the side doors are opened and closed. This may be due to incorrect door installation, alignment and/or incorrect tightening of the two bolts which hold the door to the vehicle body. To correct this condition, inspect for and address any damage to the door and/or latch components, then remove and reinstall the suspect door following the instructions located in the Digital Owners Manual, Removable Vehicle Components > Removable Doors > Removing and Installing the Doors. In this section you ll also find a detailed tutorial video of the process. If the noise persists, perform the Front/Rear Door Alignment procedure located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-03 Body Closures. |
| SSM 51359 | 2023-03-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with 2.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P04DB stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a fault detected while in transport mode or a leak in the positive crankcase ventilation system (PCV). To correct the condition, perform a visual inspection of all possible sources outlined in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-08B pinpoint test (PPT) HG. Deactivate transport mode and place into normal operation mode, refer to WSM, Section 419-10. Clear all DTCs, allow the vehicle to sit with key off for at least 2 hours or until engine coolant temperature (ECT) is below 45°C (113°F). Start the vehicle and allow it to idle in park (P) for at least 1 minute. Using the appropriate scan tool, check for DTCs. If DTC P04DB returns, perform PPT HG in the WSM. |
| SSM 51287 | 2023-01-31. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may experience a strut that has detached from the soft top frame. It is not possible to reinstall one of these struts once they become detached from the frame. If this occurs, a service strut must be ordered which will arrive with a compression bracket which maintains the exact strut length required for installation. For installation instructions, refer to the Workshop Manual, Section 501-18A. The larger, rear struts are available by ordering (service part number: M2DZ-78515A60-B). The smaller, front struts are available by ordering (service part number: M2DZ-78515A59-B). Each part number contains 1 strut. |
| TSB 23-2024 | 2023-01-31. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY; STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a factory soft top roof may exhibit a headliner that is detaching from the soft top material. This may be due to the factory installation process. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to reattach the headliner or replace |
| TSB 23-2015 | 2023-01-31. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles with 2.7L, 3.3L, 3.5L EcoBoost or 5.0L engines, 2020-2022 Transit vehicles with 3.5L Duratec/3.5L EcoBoost engines, 2023 Bronco with the 2.3L engine having charging system diagnostics performed in the Workshop Manual (WSM) may experience the generator voltage desired (GENVDSD) parameter identification (PID) missing from the powertrain control module (PCM) PID list in the Ford Diagnosis And Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. This may be due to a software parameter in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM. |
| TSB 23-2013 | 2023-01-31. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS; VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a factory soft top roof may experience snow or sand accumulation on the vehicles interior during a strong storm with high winds. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to retrofit the soft top assembly. |
| SSM 51261 | 2023-01-06. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied. When diagnosing and repairing brake noise conditions, use the Workshop Manual (WSM) and the appropriate pinpoint test in section 206-00. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206-00. |
| SSM 51227 | 2023-01-05. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:PEDALS AND LINKAGES; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit noises coming from the brake pedal while applying and/or releasing the brake pedal or while the vehicle is off without brake pedal application. A single click and/or clunk may be heard during brake pedal application and again on brake pedal release and is considered normal. Clicking may also be heard while the vehicle is off, and without the brake pedal being applied. The clicking heard with the vehicle off is due to the EBB going through the normal shut-down process. The amount of noise will vary between EBB modules and replacement of the EBB module is not expected to reduce the noises. |
