Flash: 2.4L Powertrain Diagnostic And System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Engine Control Module (ECM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). ? U0402 - Implausible Data Received From TCM. ? P0133 - O2 Sensor 1/1 Slow Response. ? P0171 - Fuel System 1/1 Lean. ? P050D - Cold Start Rough Idle. In addition, customers may experience one or more of the following concerns: ? Vehicle performance enhancements. ? Clatter or ticking noise from the engine at idle. ? RPM flare at cold start. ? Less than desired idle performance. ? Cold engine RPM surge with gear engagement.

If unable to reach after 15 minutes record the following information and proceed with oil pump replacement and hold part for return to FCA via Fastrack system

Pentastar Oil Filter Adapter All vehicles equipped with a 3.2L or 3.6L engine; If replacing the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA) due to a leak detected between OFA and block, an O-ring kit (68191356AA) is now available to repair OFA/Block Interface leaks. Using dye will assist in determining source of leak. Ensure OFA Cap Oring is seated in the proper groove in the cap and not damaged or cut. Engineering is seeking information regarding OFA leaks. The gaskets are not required by warranty to be replaced like they are on Pentastar Classic (ERB/EHB). The new gaskets are not interchangeable with Pentastar Classic Intake Manifold Gaskets.
