20245482024-08-15. Label. Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.
20190162019-01-11. Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the passenger-front airbag inflator replaced. Note: The Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected.
20183962018-07-27. Accessories. Note: This recall affects the following Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) that were sold through dealers as high-performance accessories: - Mopar Stage 1 high performance Powertrain Control Modules (PCM), part numbers P5160023 and P5160025 (campaign U82) - Mopar high performance Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) included in the Demon Crate, part number 68412287AA (campaign U83) On certain vehicles, an electronic fault may create a situation where the cruise control cannot be deactivated. If this occurs and the driver does not apply the brakes or shift the transmission to neutral, the vehicle could maintain speed or accelerate without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the PCM software and perform an update as necessary. Note: In the interim, owners are advised not to use the cruise control until the vehicle is repaired. This is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, as these aftermarket products were not regulated by the Act.
20182692018-05-17. Engine. On certain vehicles, an electronic fault may create a situation where the cruise control cannot be deactivated. If this occurs and the driver does not apply the brakes or shift the transmission to neutral, the vehicle could maintain speed or accelerate without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software and perform an update as necessary. Note: In the interim, owners are advised not to use the cruise control until the vehicle is repaired.
20182192018-05-01. Powertrain. On certain all wheel drive vehicles, the front prop shaft universal joint could seize or fracture. This could allow for the prop shaft to completely disengage from the vehicle, which could create a road hazard and could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the front prop shaft.
20170812017-02-15. Powertrain. On certain all-wheel drive vehicles, the front propshaft bolts may be loose. This could result in the front propshaft disconnecting from the vehicle, which would lead to loss of motive power while driving and could also damage powertrain and/or underbody components and create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace all eight front propshaft bolts.
20160392016-01-27. Accessories. Certain vehicles equipped with an original equipment spare tire, the body-side sill assemblies may deform during tire jack use if wheel chocks are not used as instructed in the Owner’s Manual. This could cause the vehicle to become unstable and cause the jack to fail, which could result in injury to the operator. Correction: Dealers will provide wheel chocks to vehicle owners. The wheel chocks will be installed with the vehicle’s spare tire in such a manner that they must be removed before the spare tire is removed from its stowed location.
20150862015-02-26. Fuel System. On certain vehicles equipped with a 6.2L supercharged engine, the fuel rail crossover hose may leak in the engine compartment. Leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel rail crossover hose.
20145502014-12-03. Lights And Instruments. Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101 - Controls and Displays. The instrument cluster may not display safety warning lamps when the ignition key is first turned on, contrary to the requirements of the standard. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster.
