Service bulletins for the 2016 Dodge Challenger

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

91002632023-12-18. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; SEATS. Dynamic Sensor Prior to replacing this part, please ensure all the pre-diagnostic & diagnostic procedures have been completed with emphasis on wiring and connector integrity. If codes C006A-28, U0125-00, or C006A-46 are present, warranty analysis suggests a high likelihood of an intermittent connection at or near the wiring connector, especially if the vehicle is a pursuit variant. Please verify wiring per diagnostic procedures, as well as removal & installation guidance called out in the service manual before replacement.
90037042022-09-26. Service bulletin. SEATS; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; AIR BAGS; POWER TRAIN; BACK OVER PREVENTION; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Transmission Oil Pan, Heater (TMU), Tube or O-ring Applies to vehicles equipped with 8 speed transmissions only; if you have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair.

Flash: Heated Steering Wheel Temperature Enhancement Depending on vehicle architecture: This bulletin involves updating the Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM) software for the KL/UF vehicles or the Heated Seat Module (HSM) software for the WK/WD/LD/LA & LX vehicles. A customer may describe that the heated steering wheel shuts off to soon, usually after 30 seconds and does not achieve satisfactory temperature. This is an intermittent condition and more noticeable at temps below 19.5°C (67.1°F).
