Service bulletins for the 2016 Chrysler 300
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Customers may also notice the following condition(s): Brief engine idle fluctuation while in hot ambient temperatures. A slight hesitation during light pedal application after engine cold start. Driveline noises. Engine stumble/hesitation on a very hard pedal acceleration from a dead stop. Transmission enhancements during low-speed braking turning maneuvers. False detonation (spark knock) detected during a wide-open throttle (LA Challenger Sales Codes ESH with DEC only). In addition, the following software enhancements are available: Reduce bumps felt on light to medium decal braking and coming to a stop. Launch spark improvement change from 35 MPH to 10 MPH. Reverse lock out speed change from 10 MPH to 3 MPH (Sales Code DEC only). Torque security calibration changes to desensitize brake throttle override entry conditions. Calibration changes to address engine speed undershoot/overshoot during clutch disengagement when coming to a stop (Sales Code DEC only). Start fuel and transient fuel calibration change for improved drivability robustness. Purge calibration changes for a more robust purge volume result at altitude. | 1807617 | 2022-10-24. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Flash: Powertrain Diagnostic and System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with thelatest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following DiagnosticTrouble Codes (DTCs) have been set:P2066 - Fuel Level Sensor 2 Performance (Sales Codes ERB with AHB or AHV only). P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak. P2610 - PCM Internal Engine Off Timer Performance. In addition to the above DTCs, this software release also includes:Enhancements to the disable misfire monitor when P0335 is present. Add a global disable to small leak monitor when the fuel level is above88%. Update small leak diagnostic to require five minutes of engine run-time and120 minutes of engine off-time. Updates to prevent false failure due to wrong ambient temperature reading. |
| 9003772 | 2022-10-24. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER. Housing, Fuel Fill Before ordering or replacing this part please contact Dennis Gauthier at cell (248) 613-9756. If no response is received within 15 minutes, then proceed with required repair. |

| 9003756 | 2022-10-24. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION; AIR BAGS; STEERING; PARKING BRAKE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rain light sensor Rain sense wipers do not operate: 1. Visual Inspection--> Check if the sensor is visually OK. (all the pins are OK) Check that the Connector is NOT loose (Sensor must get a voltage from 9V to 16V) 2. Functional Checks Rain--> Steering column switch is in auto mode (sensor is active) it is necessary to splash water on the sensitive surface of the sensor to trigger wipes. check the same for different sensitivities When the rain sensitivity is increased (for example from level 0 to level 1), as an acknowledgement a single wipe is seen. (This is not a phantom wipe) and this single wipe is not seen when the rain sensitivity is decreased (from higher level to lower level) Light--> Steering column switch is in auto mode (sensor is active) block the light coming on the sensor from outside of the vehicle (use a opaque object), the head lamps should be activated 3. If the sensor seems functional, it is ideal to remove the silicon gel pad from the sensor, replace it with the new silicon gel pad instead of replacing the whole sensor. When servicing the LRSM please replace the silicon gel pad with a new silicon gel pad (PN 68224945AA) instead of replacing the whole sensor. |
