RADIO, MULTI Media For RA3 and RA4 8.4? radio concern of reoccurring update request pop-up on each key cycle after a radio FOTA (Firmware Update Over the Air) has been completed, please DO NOT replace the radio. To recover the radio, 12v power needs to be disconnect from the radio to clear radio memory either by removal of the radio fuse or preforming a battery disconnect. Note: Fuse removal is the preferred method. The radio needs to be disconnected from power long enough to clear memory and discharge the Capacitance within the radio. Please refer to the latest in diagnostics for further information.

Use the wiTECH 2.0 and inspect the radio part number and serial number under the Radio/ECU Details tab. Please verify that the radio part number and/or serial number is not "FFFF". If either field shows "FFFF", please contact Mike Wielgat at 248-576-6696 or Rohan Negandhi at 248-421-9608 If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair.

Part Description: MY16 RA3 & RA4 Replacement Radios Issue Description: Issue 1:~ All MY16 RA3 and RA4 replacement radios must be ordered through the exchange process at United Radio. DO NOT order a NEW radio from Mopar. Go back and order a "Z" level part number. (example: Z8249986A$) The MY16 replacement radios must be reconfigured by United Radio to the wirele ss network provider in order for Uconnect Apps to work properly. Issue 2:~ The MY16 RA3 and RA4 radios are susceptible to randomly set an erroneously BCM or IPC ?U0184 - Loss of Com with Radio? fault. The radio should not be replaced for this issue if the fault is stored, if the code cannot be reproduced and no trouble can be found (radio functions properly). In this case it is no impact to the customer in any way. Do NOT replace the radio for this issue. Before replacing the AC compressor for noise or in-op:~ 1) Check all AC plumbing connection for leaks with UV light. Flash: 2.4L Powertrain Diagnostic and System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the PCM memory: · **P0101 - Mass Air Flow Sensor "A" Circuit Performance. · P050D - Cold Start Rough Idle. · P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. · P2610 - PCM Internal Engine Off Timer Performance. · P1607 - PCM Internal Shutdown Timer Rati · U0402 - Implausible Data Received From TCM. · U1424 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received. · P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak. · P0480 - Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit/Open. In addition, the customers may experience the following: · A slight bump may be felt during the 4-5 shift, under light acceleration.
