Service bulletins for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

G-1769452017-08-15. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. 13331 - Service Update. Replace the SIDI high pressure fuel pump. The SIDI high pressure fuel pump in these vehicles may have been misbuilt. This could result in extended crank, rough idle, DTCs, MIL for low fuel pressure, and possible loosening or fracture of the pump body-to-flange bolts.
G-1769442017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. 13330 - Service Update. This bulletin provides a service procedure to address incorrect calibration values in the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system. These calibration errors can cause the hydraulic lifters to actuate at the wrong time, when the combustion chamber is under high pressure. If this occurs the hydraulic lifter can be damaged and the affected cylinder will no longer operate. To correct this condition, dealers will reprogram these vehicles with a new ECM and TCM calibration.
G-1761772017-08-15. Service bulletin. SEATS; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. 13310 - Service Update (bulletin cancelled). General Motors is cancelling Service Update Bulletin (SUB) 13310. After further investigation, it has been determined that some of the vehicles originally involved in SUB 13310 will not have the seatback condition. The following is an explanation of the status of vehicles involved in SUB 13310. Vehicles that may display the seatback condition, but have not had the repair in SUB 13310 performed, will be transferred to Noncompliance Recall 13323. These VINs will show a closed status for SUB 13310 in IVH on October 3, 2013. Vehicles that were built prior to August 1, 2013, will not have the seatback condition. These vehicles will not be transferred to Noncompliance Recall 13323 and will show as closed in IVH October 8, 2013, which will allow dealers to submit warranty transactions on vehicles that have already been repaired. Do not repair any additional vehicles under SUB 13310.
G-1761442017-08-15. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. 13314 - Service Update. Replace the engine oil pump. These vehicles may have a pump that was damaged during engine assembly and testing. This could cause the illumination of a MIL and/or set DTCs for low oil pressure.
G-1760292017-08-15. Service bulletin. SEATS. 13310A - Service Update (revised inspection procedure). This bulletin provides a service procedure to inspect and, if necessary, adjust the seatback recliner mechanism. On some of these vehicles, either front seat may display seatback movement.

On some of these vehicles, either front seat may display seatback movement.
G-1754752017-08-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. 13304 - Customer Satisfaction. Certain vehicles equipped with a Snow Plow Prep Package (RPO VYU) may have been assembled with an incorrect generator. This option calls for a higher amperage generator (RPO KW7); however, on some vehicles a lower amperage generator was installed. Over time, the lower amperage generator could result in premature battery rundown and possibly a no-start condition.
G-1752212017-08-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 13290A Service Update. (revised PQC and part information). An analysis of engine build data revealed that there could be a build concern that could cause drivability issues with the engines originally installed in these vehicles. To ensure the highest quality and best ownership experience for our customers, these engines need to be replaced prior to vehicle delivery. The bulletin provides a service procedure to inspect and, if necessary, replace the engine assembly. These vehicles may have been assembled with bent piston oil squirters. If the squirter is bent out-of-position, the connecting rod may hit the squirter during engine operation, creating a high frequency noise. The knock sensor may respond to that noise, retarding spark, impairing engine performance and transmission shift quality.
G-1748322017-08-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 13290 - Service Update. An analysis of engine build data revealed that there could be a build concern that could cause drivability issues with the engines originally installed in these vehicles. To ensure the highest quality and best ownership experience for our customers, these engines need to be replaced prior to vehicle delivery. This bulletin provides a service procedure to inspect and, if necessary, replace the engine assembly on certain vehicles equipped with a 5.3L V8 engine (RPO L83) or a 4.3L V6 engine (RPO LV3).
G-1733802017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. 13257 - Service Update. Reprogram the body control module (BCM). When the key is turned to start the engine, a series of communication events occur. If there is an interruption in this communication, it could result in a no crank/start condition. The engine can be started with the remote start feature; however, the engine will shut down within 5 seconds if the communication error occurs. After waiting approximately 10 minutes, the engine can be started. This condition may or may not occur on subsequent starts, depending on whether or not there is a communication error.
G-1731462017-08-15. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. 13259 - Service Update. Install a new fuel pump assembly. An o-ring seal in the fuel pump assembly may have been improperly installed. Over time, this may cause a fuel odor and/or seepage.

G-1726872017-08-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. 13259 Stop Delivery Order.
G-1723952017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. 13254 - Service Update. Install a new throttle body assembly and perform the throttle body learn procedure. The throttle position sensor may cause the engine to run rough, set a P16A1 DTC, illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp and/or an Engine Reduced Power message. If this occurs, it could result in reduced engine power.
G-1714742017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; STEERING. 13240 - Service Update. Reprogram the power steering control module. The power steering control module may disable the power steering assist feature. This is most likely to occur when the vehicle is first started and when the underhood temperature is extremely low, although in very rare instances, it may occur if the underhood temperature is extremely high. This could result in increased steering effort at low vehicle speeds, the display of a Service Power Steering DIC message, and the setting of DTC C056D. Power steering assist will return on subsequent ignition cycles if the underhood temperatures are no longer in these ranges.
G-1705612017-08-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. 13186 - Service Update (message only). Vehicles that were included in error will be removed.
G-1690812017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. 13186 - Service Update. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the battery current sensor. An incorrect battery current sensor may have been installed on the negative battery cable assembly. This could cause an incorrect reading of the battery state of charge, resulting in under charging of the battery.
