| PIP5261 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician that some vehicles may have a high pitched whine noise from the vehicle noticed when driving in auto 4wd. When the transfer case control module has to move the transfer case actuator motor the higher current passing through the module causes an "electronic buzz or whine" within some of the capacitors in the module that can be heard by some of our customers. This can only be heard with all accessories and HVAC off and only when actuator movement is required. This does not indicate a concern with the module and should not be replaced to address this concern. |
| PIT5365 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on how the radio display gets the air ambient temperature. On 1500 series trucks and all sport utility vehicle with regular production option code IO3 radio the ambient air temperature sensor is hard wired to the engine control module and then the signal goes on high speed local area network to the body control module from there on low speed local area network to the radio. On 1500 series trucks and all sport utility vehicle with regular production option code IO4, IO5, or IO6 the ambient air temperature sensor is hard wired to the engine control module and then the signal goes on high speed local area network to the body control module from there on low speed local area network to the radio then Most 50 Bus to the Human Machine Interface. On 2500/3500 series trucks production option code IO3 radio the ambient air temperature sensor is hard wired to the instrument panel cluster and then the signal goes on low speed local area network to the radio. On 2500/3500 series trucks production option code IO4, IO5, or IO6 radio the ambient air temperature sensor is hard wired to the instrument panel cluster and then the signal goes on low speed local area network to the radio then Most 50 Bus to the Human Machine Interface. |
| PI1344 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY:SOLENOID. This preliminary bulletin provides a procedure to remove and inspect the clutch select solenoid valve for damage, located in the valve body to correct the customers concern of reduced acceleration at low speeds and trans slip at lauch. |
| PI1098A | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION. This preliminary bulletin provides a procedure on how to cold crank test a battery in a vehicle. |
| PI1199A | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. This preliminary bulletin provides a procedure to replace the exhaust systems with a stuck closed PEV to correct a cutomers concern of the engine crank no start, engine stall, backfire or hissing noise from tailpipe. |
| 10-08-42-001D | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. This technical bulletin provides a procedure to check the headlamp wiring connector and replace if damaged. |
| PI1354 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. STEERING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. This preliminary informational bulletin provides additional information for possible causes in vibration and how to diagnose them. |
| 09-06-04-026I | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. This informational bulletin was created to help technician identify non GM calibrations for the gasoline engines and the damages that may be caused by aftermarket calibrations |
| 11-08-49-001M | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This technical bulletin provides a procedure on how to turn the transport mode message of and reset the battery light flashing. |
| 14-00-89-005 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION. This technical bulletin provides information to the technician to replace the ignition key if the customers concern is the shifter contacts the key. |
| 09-06-04-026H | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. This informational bulletin was created to help technician identify non GM calibrations for the gasoline engines and the damages that may be caused by aftermarket calibrations |
| G-180061 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. 13356 - Customer Satisfaction. The beep alert option on the Forward Collision Alert (FCA) System may be inoperable. If the beep alert is selected for the forward collision alert system, the beep will not sound; however, a red flashing alert on the windshield remains active and the safety alert seat pulses will still be available. Dealers are to reprogram the Frontview Camera Module. |
| G-176944 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. 13330 - Service Update. This bulletin provides a service procedure to address incorrect calibration values in the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system. These calibration errors can cause the hydraulic lifters to actuate at the wrong time, when the combustion chamber is under high pressure. If this occurs the hydraulic lifter can be damaged and the affected cylinder will no longer operate. To correct this condition, dealers will reprogram these vehicles with a new ECM and TCM calibration. |
| G-173380 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. 13257 - Service Update. Reprogram the body control module (BCM). When the key is turned to start the engine, a series of communication events occur. If there is an interruption in this communication, it could result in a no crank/start condition. The engine can be started with the remote start feature; however, the engine will shut down within 5 seconds if the communication error occurs. After waiting approximately 10 minutes, the engine can be started. This condition may or may not occur on subsequent starts, depending on whether or not there is a communication error. |
| G-172395 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. 13254 - Service Update. Install a new throttle body assembly and perform the throttle body learn procedure. The throttle position sensor may cause the engine to run rough, set a P16A1 DTC, illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp and/or an Engine Reduced Power message. If this occurs, it could result in reduced engine power. |
| G-171474 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; STEERING. 13240 - Service Update. Reprogram the power steering control module. The power steering control module may disable the power steering assist feature. This is most likely to occur when the vehicle is first started and when the underhood temperature is extremely low, although in very rare instances, it may occur if the underhood temperature is extremely high. This could result in increased steering effort at low vehicle speeds, the display of a Service Power Steering DIC message, and the setting of DTC C056D. Power steering assist will return on subsequent ignition cycles if the underhood temperatures are no longer in these ranges. |
| G-169081 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. 13186 - Service Update. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the battery current sensor. An incorrect battery current sensor may have been installed on the negative battery cable assembly. This could cause an incorrect reading of the battery state of charge, resulting in under charging of the battery. |
| PI1268B | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This technical bulletin provides a procedure to replace both front overhead console lamps to correct a customer concern that when the dome lamps are off, if the brake pedal is applied or turn signal is operated, the dome lamp may flash on and off in any of the passenger rows caused by sensitivity of the U42 overhead console to normal voltage fluctuations generated with activation of the brake or turn lamps. |
