United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
18V3040002018-05-10. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Chevrolet Cruze LS vehicles, equipped with a gasoline engine and a tire inflator kit instead of a spare tire. The vehicles may leak gasoline following a rear-impact crash and a rollover. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 301, "Fuel System Integrity." Built 2015-11-09 to 2018-05-01.
17V0570002017-01-26. SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:HEAD RESTRAINT. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. A bracket used in the driver or front passenger seat-back recliner mechanism may have been incorrectly welded to the seat-back frame, as a result, in the event of a crash, the head-restraints may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 202a, "Head Restraints." Built 2016-06-28 to 2016-07-21.
16V5020002016-07-05. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Buick Verano and 2016 Chevrolet Malibu as the electronic park lock lever may allow the ignition key to be removed without the transmission being in PARK. Also, certain 2013 Buick Encore, 2011 Buick Regal, 2013-2014 Buick Verano, 2011-2016 Chevrolet Cruze, 2010-2013 Chevrolet Equinox 2013-2015 Chevrolet Malibu, and 2011-2013 GMC Terrain vehicles may have been serviced with similar defective replacement electronic park lock levers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention." Built 2011-01-11 to 2015-08-14.
16V4980002016-07-01. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2016 Cruze vehicles manufactured November 5, 2015, to May 26, 2016. The headlight assemblies are not marked with a three-digit identifier code used to properly aim the headlights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Assoc. Equipment." Built 2015-11-05 to 2016-05-26.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20182512018-05-11. Fuel System. Certain models equipped with a tire inflator kit may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 301 – Fuel System Integrity. The company’s internal testing indicates that, under certain conditions in a rollover following a severe rear-impact crash, a sensor attached to the fuel tank may contact the rear floor panel, and possibly cause a fuel leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install a lock-ring on the fuel tank that shields the vapour pressure sensor.
20170432017-01-26. Seats And Restraints. Certain vehicles may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 202 - Head Restraints. The front driver and passenger seat-back recliner mechanism may have been incorrectly welded to the seat-back frame. This could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in the event of a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect the front driver and passenger seats for proper welds and replace the seat-back frames as necessary.
20163392016-06-29. Lights And Instruments. Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The headlamp lenses in these vehicles are not marked with a three-digit identifier code that provides instructions for properly aiming the headlamps, as required by the standard. Although the headlamps in these vehicles were properly aimed during assembly, if headlamp aim is affected by a crash or other incident, the headlamps may not be properly aimed in servicing. Improperly aimed headlamps may reduce night time forward visibility or increase glare for vehicles ahead, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners will be mailed adhesive labels with the correct marking and instructions for applying the label to the headlamp lenses. If owners are not comfortable installing the label themselves, they can take the label to a dealer for installation.
20162382016-05-18. Airbag. On certain vehicles, the Body Control Module (BCM) wire harness near the foot-operated parking brake may be missing tie-straps that maintain the harness routing. As a result, the wiring could become damaged if were to contact the parking brake assembly, potentially disabling the knee airbag. Failure of the knee airbag to deploy when warranted could increase the risk of injury to the driver in a frontal crash. Correction: Dealers are to add tie straps to secure the BCM wire harness away from the foot-operated parking brake, and a second tie strap to secure the knee-airbag wire harness to the BCM harness.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
