This bulletin addresses corrective actions to attempt to recover the module before declaring the TCM as a bad part and replacing. (Revised) This update includes a service procedure to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) on certain 2016 model year Cadillac CT6 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L Twin Turbo (RPO LGW) Engine. Affected vehicles may illuminate the MIL indicator and be found to have DTC P0234 set. The vehicle may not accelerate as quickly compared to before the MIL illuminated. The vehicle is still able to accelerate, but has lesser performance than the Twin Turbo provides. The engine continues to start, idle and function in all other respects normally. This bulletin has been revised to update the service procedure, include a VIN list and add Parts information. Please discard all previous copies of bulletin 43190.

For vehicles equipped with Collision Imminent Braking with Adaptive Cruise Control, in a highly reflective environment, the short range radar data throughput is exceeded which may cause a Service Driver Assist message to be displayed on the driver information center. The technician is advised if he encounters this concern to zero the MIC counter by placing the vehicle into and back out of "Transport Mode".
