| 2014480 | 2014-10-29. Electrical. Certain vehicles may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 114 - Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. An intermittent ground electrical connection could cause the vehicle to continue to run for a limited time period after the ignition is turned off if the brake lamps, park lamps or trunk lamp are on. This would also cause delayed arming of the immobilization system, contrary to the requirements of the standard. Correction: A production change has been undertaken to remedy this technical non-compliance condition. No corrective recall action is required as the technical non-compliance conditions are deemed to be non-safety related. |
| 2014274 | 2014-07-03. Accessories. On certain vehicles, insulation on the engine block heater power cord may become damaged if the cord is handled during very cold days (temperatures below -25C). This could create an electrical shock hazard, which could result in personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the block heater cord. |
| 2014054 | 2014-02-25. Powertrain. Certain vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 102 - Transmission Control Functions and CMVSS 114 - Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. The shift cable adjuster may have been damaged at time of assembly and could disengage, causing the transmission to remain in a gear position different from the one indicated in the instrument panel. If the shift cable were to disengage while driving, upon stopping the vehicle, a driver could move the transmission range selector lever to the PARK position and remove the key, without the transmission being in PARK. If the parking brake is not set, the vehicle could roll, potentially resulting in a crash increasing the risk of injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect and install a revised adjuster and clip if necessary. |
