This Preliminary Information communication provides the technician with information on the proper washing of the bright aluminum moldings to avoid the moldings from getting damaged. It is recommended that a non-alkaline solution be used for preparation & washing of the bright aluminum moldings.

This Preliminary Information communication provides the technician with the steps to diagnose and repair the concern of mildew odor or water on front floor on either side of the vehicle. Technician will gain access to the front wheelhouse of the affected side. The front wheel house flange may have a void in the sealer causing water to leak through and accumulate on the floor or wet carpet will be found. A thumb grade sealer will need to be placed in the void to prevent the water leak into the cabin.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have Service Engine Soon on, a “Service Transmission Now, Unable to Shift Soon” message or possibly the vehicle will not shift out of park at times. Technician will find Diagnostic Trouble Code P07BE or P17F3 in the Chassis Control Module. Technician will need to update the Chassis Control Module with the latest software available in Tis-2-Web. If the vehicle returns or the vehicle was built after the build date shown technician is directed to test for terminal concerns and is advised that an updated shift lever knob is now available.

17409 (Bulletin2018-05-07. Service bulletin. WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS; STRUCTURE. 17409 - Customer Satisfaction. Certain vehicles, that have had an engine replacement may have the wrong torque applied to front cradle-to-body bolts (M14) and front cradle stabilizer brackets-to-body bolts (M10). The Engine Replacement Service Procedure in the vehicle Service Information instructs technicians to use improper torque values when reattaching the cradle. Dealers will replace bolts (M14 and M10), verify cradle alignment and apply the correct torque to attaching bolts.
