B0105202020-07-27. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE). N47T/N57T EGR COOLER LTD WTY EXTENSION TO 10 YEARS WITHOUT MILEAGE LIMIT: The vehicle demonstrates a power loss and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on. The intake manifold (intake system) is found to have thermal deformation or damage. Melt through may also be found in the area of the EGR inlet and randomly around the intake system.

FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL. The DDE software application for exhaust gas recirculation control (EGR) does not favorably match the diesel fuel grades available in many parts of the US market. The high pressure EGR cooler could become filled with soot particulate to the point that exhaust gas flow and cooling efficiency are significantly reduced. This could result in the Service Engine Soon light coming on with EGR control / Air mass faults being stored in the DDE.
