SIB1201232023-05-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. In hot ambient conditions, if the engine was running for a prolonged time while the vehicle is stationary, a jolt may be experienced while lightly accelerating.

After checking faults and diagnosis there is raw fuel found in the charcoal canister and the NVLD pressure switch (in R/R wheel well). Possible faults stored in the DME: 190F08 - Fuel tank venting system: Malfunction 191C02 - Fuel tank venting system,2. discharge point: Malfunction The vent line inside the fuel tank is disconnected.

SIB0901212022-07-18. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. BMW offers a new special ISTA Installation made available for Roadside Assistance / Mobile Service technicians. The new ISTA Version is also able to be used in case of a Remote Software Upgrade (RSU) programming failure to get the customer car reprogrammed on site. In case of a Remote Software Upgrade failure, the engine start is prevented for safety reasons until the vehicle is programmed correctly. Most of the errors occur when only one control unit fails to program correctly.

Acoustic abnormality in the area of the recirculated air flap (recirculation flap closing and opening severaltimes). The above may occur individually or in combination.
B6401212022-05-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT; VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. A whistling noise is present from the fresh air inlet area (engine compartment bulkhead area), in the right front area of the vehicle, at speeds above 40 mph. The noise is loudest when the sunroof is in the vent position.

BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective January 11, 2022) on a small number of Model Year 2022 BMW vehicles that were produced between December 23, 2021 and January 4, 2022. Do not deliver to a customer, a New, Certified Pre-Owned or Used vehicle subject to a Delivery Stop, until the vehicle is repaired. Do not use or sell replacement equipment/parts subject to a Delivery Stop. Due to a production failure, the control unit was assembled with a capacitor instead of a resistor.

One or more faults may be stored related to the low temp cooling system: DME - 20A201 - charge air cooling system: Coolant pump protective function due to dry running active DME - 20A209 - charge air cooling system: Coolant pump protective function due to dry running active IHKA - 80120A - Compressor: Switch off due to excess pressure in the refrigerant circuit The outside temperature at the time of the complaint is at or below -15Ë? C (5Ë? F) The O-rings that seal the quick disconnect coolant lines will not seal properly when outside temperatures are at or below -15Ë? C (5Ë? F).

TANK VENTILATION AND MIXTURE CONTROL FAULTS STORED IN THE DME: The Engine Malfunction Warning is illuminated and one or more of the following faults are stored in the DME. All models: FC 191C02 - Fuel tank ventilation system 2nd discharge point: malfunction FC 195014 - Differential pressure sensor tank vent valve signal: fixed FC 118001 - Mixture control: mixture too lean FC 118401 - Mixture control: mixture too lean large deviation I01 only: FC 124103 - Mixture control: mixture too lean FC 124101 - Mixture control: Mixture lean large deviation CAUSE Internal mechanical defect in the tank ventilation valve. The defect can also result in a very loud clicking noise when the valve is cycling.

B58C AND B58M ENGINES ENGINE OIL FILTER INSERT IS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE - REMOVAL: On rare occasions during an engine oil service the BMW Original (Genuine) engine oil filter insert is either difficult to remove or breaks apart in the oil filter housing. The engine oil filter is broken. The paper is torn and the lower plastic section is stuck in the engine oil filter housing.
