Built from 2019-03-12.

20263612026-07-23. Electrical. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the ignition lock could wear and lose electrical contact. As a result, the engine could stall while riding. This could also cause the brake lamp, turn signals, anti-lock brake system (ABS) and instrument cluster not to work. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. A brake lamp or turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when a rider is braking, intends to turn, or change lanes, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, a loss of ABS function could extend stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to update the motorcycle software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the ignition lock.
20247052024-11-19. Engine. Issue: This recall is for certain oil filters sold at BMW Motorrad dealerships as a replacement part for 2008 to 2024 models. This recall affects oil filter part number: 11427721779-04. On certain motorcycles, the oil filter may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, under certain conditions, the filter could loosen and create an oil leak. Safety Risk: An oil leak near the rear tire could affect handling and control of the motorcycle. An oil leak could create a hazard for others. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, oil that leaks onto hot components could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the oil filter.
20205702020-11-24. Brakes. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the front brake calipers may leak a small amount of brake fluid when parked. Over a long time, this could empty the fluid reservoir. If this happens, the motorcycle will have reduced brake performance. This problem may result in brake fluid on the front tire or wheel, and on the ground after the motorcycle has been parked for an extended period. The owner's manual has information for how to check the brake fluid level before riding. Note: This recall replaces BMW recall 34 003 20 (008) (Transport Canada recall 2020-377). Motorcycles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Reduced front brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to inspect the front brakes. The calipers will be replaced, if necessary.

Safety Risk: Reduced front brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to inspect the front brakes. The calipers will be replaced, if necessary.
20200982020-03-12. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the stop lamp will flash during emergency braking. Canadian regulations require the stop lamp to stay on constantly while braking. Safety Risk: A flashing stop lamp could cause confusion for other drivers. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to update the stop lamp software, so that the stop lamp does not flash during emergency braking.
20194892019-10-03. Engine. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the oil cooler hoses may not have been properly attached to the oil pipes. This could result in an oil leak. Safety Risk: An oil leak near the rear tire could affect handling and control of the motorcycle. This could increase the risk of a crash. In addition, an oil leak near the exhaust system could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the oil cooler assembly.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
