| 13V617000 | 2013-12-12. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain model year 2005-2011 model year R-model motorcycles, model year 2005-2012 K-model motorcycles, model year 2010-2011 S 1000 model motorcycles, and model year 2006-2010 HP2 motorcycles. In the affected motorcycles, the fuel pump flange (and the auxiliary fuel pump flange if equipped) could develop cracks and leak fuel. Built 2004-12-22 to 2007-06-15. |
| 06V164000 | 2006-05-15. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP. ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, UNDER RAPID, REPEATED, AND UNUSUALLY HARSH BRAKING, LOSS OF ABS CAPABILITY COULD TEMPORARILY OCCUR. Built 2005-02-01 to 2005-11-30. |
| 06V134000 | 2006-04-24. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, IF CERTAIN PROCEDURES ARE PERFORMED THAT INVOLVES REMOVAL OF THE FRONT LEFT BRAKE CALIPER, THE ABS SENSOR CABLE CAN BE ROUTED INCORRECTLY AND WHEN THE CALIPER IS REINSTALLED, THE SENSOR CABLE CAN COME INTO CONTACT AND RUB AGAINST THE FRONT BRAKE DISC. OVERTIME, IF THE CHAFING BECOMES SEVERE, IT IS POSSIBLE TO LOSE THE ABS FUNCTION. Built 2004-12-01 to 2006-01-31. |
| 05V172000 | 2005-04-27. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, EXPOSURE OF THE THROTTLE HOUSING TO ROAD DEBRIS COULD FALL AND BECOME CAUGHT BETWEEN THE THROTTLE-BODY AND THE ENGINE BLOCK. Built 2004-12-01 to 2005-03-03. |
| 2017428 | 2017-09-01. Lights And Instruments. Certain motorcycles with dealer installed accessory turn signals may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CVMSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The size of the lens on the accessory turn signals may be too small, and therefore would not meet the requirements of the standard. This could reduce vehicle conspicuity to following and approaching road users, and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the accessory turn signals with factory indicators that meet the requirements of the standard. |

| 2015101 | 2015-03-11. Powertrain. On certain motorcycles, the threaded holes on the rear wheel flange could crack if the wheel bolts are tightened beyond the specified torque limit during servicing. Over time, this could allow the bolts to back out of their threaded holes, causing the rear wheel to become loose. This could result in a loss of stability of the motorcycle, and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the aluminum rear wheel flange with a steel flange. |
| 2013442 | 2013-12-13. Fuel System. On certain motorcycles, cracks could develop in the fuel pump and/or auxiliary fuel pump flange (if equipped). This would result in fuel leaking when the engine is turned on and the fuel system is pressurized. Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the fuel pump flange(s) and install a reinforcing ring or replace the fuel pump(s), as necessary. |
| 2006118 | 2006-05-24. Brakes. Certain motorcycles may exhibit a temporary loss of ABS function as a result of an "overpressure" effect in the brake system caused by applying significant force to the brake lever under rapid, repeated and unusually harsh braking. Loss of ABS function can increase the risk of a crash in certain traffic and road conditions. Correction: Dealers will install a banjo bolt with a flow restrictor to the front brake line. |
| 2006089 | 2006-04-20. Brakes. Certain motorcycles may have an incorrectly routed front Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) sensor cable. If certain service procedures are performed, for example, a front tire change which involves removal of the front left brake caliper, it is possible for the ABS sensor cable to be routed incorrectly when the caliper is reinstalled. If this happens, the sensor cable can come into contact with, and rub/chafe against, the front brake disk. Over time, if the chafing becomes severe, it is possible to lose the ABS function. Correction: Dealers will attach additional retaining clips to the ABS sensor cable. |
