The Service Engine Soon light (MIL) is currently or intermittently illuminated in the instrument cluster and one or both of the fault codes below are stored in the Automatic Climate Control (IHKA). 801375 - Electric auxiliary heater (high voltage) is stored: Temporary fault detected after software reset CAUSE: IHKA software or Electric Heater (EH).

"Delivery Stop: I12 (i8) Passenger-Side Front Air Bag Message Recipients: General Managers, Sales Managers, Service and Parts Managers, Service Managers, Shop Foremen, Service Technicians Message Text: BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop for I12 (i8) with a potential of the front passenger-side air bag not installed properly. At this time, a repair solution is being developed. You will be update when information becomes available. There are a total of three (3) vehicles affected. The vehicles in center inventory will be stopped today under ""vehicle comments"" in the key reader with the message: ""A Delivery Stop has been issued for this vehicle. Dealers must ensure that all Campaigns are completed before retail delivery to the customer. Situation - Passenger-Side Air Bag. Please be reminded that it is a violation of Federal law for you to sell, lease or deliver any vehicle covered by this notification until the delivery stop repair has been performed. This means that centers may not legally deliver new motor vehicles to a consumer until it is fixed or use/sell replacement equipment/parts subject to a delivery stop. Note also that substantial civil penalties apply to violations of this law. Also, you should not sell, lease or deliver any Certified Pre-Owned or used vehicles subject to a delivery stop until the repair is completed."

A very high pitched whistling or beeping noise is heard coming from the center vents. The flow of refrigerant through the expansion valve at certain temperature differentials.

A rattling noise is heard coming from the lower front door area while driving or closing the door. CAUSE The lower power window regulator mounting screws have loosened over time.

The knurled bolts on the convertible top locking base plates may not have been installed correctly on the cowl panel. The knurled bolts may not have been pressed completely into the base plate.

There is a groaning noise from the A pillar area when opening or closing the doors. CAUSE The A pillar seal is sticking to the door in the area shown below. Condition the A pillar seals on both sides of the vehicle.

Procedure - Add step requesting print out of ConnectedDrive Service Cockpit page Information - Add SI for ConnectedDrive Service Cockpit; updated the hyperlinks and email address for CD support team; deleted scenario for old CDMA unit which are no longer supported. ConnectedDrive/BMW Assist features are partially or completely inoperative. This Service Information bulletin is being published because vehicles are down for an extended period of time when researching system failures with ConnectedDrive or BMW Assist. This Service Information bulletin will assist you both in identifying the issue and providing technical support. CAUSE Not enough information is available for BMW NA engineers to assist the technician in diagnosing the root cause.
