B6406212021-09-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Different air temperatures are felt from left to right out of the front fresh air grilles (air vent). The following fault code is saved in the IHKA (integrated automatic heating/air conditioning system) control unit: 801189 - Engine mixed air right: Initialization fault.

B6410162018-12-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. KNOCKING NOISE FROM RF WHEEL AREA WHEN A/C IS ACTIVATED. A knocking noise is heard when entering drive readiness or after driving a short distance with the air conditioning activated. This only affects vehicles with a heat pump (option code 4T9). Note: The noise can only be reproduced once after a restart, then the vehicle must sit for some time before the noise can be heard again. Air Conditioning (A/C) receiver/dryer located near the RF wheel well area.

I12 & F30 PHEV - The heat is not functioning during electric driving and/or the heat output is reduced or fluctuating when driving with the combustion engine. I01 - The heat is not functioning at all. The issue can occur sporadically for all vehicles and will not have any associated fault codes. The Service Engine Soon light (MIL) is currently or intermittently illuminated in the instrument cluster and one or both of the fault codes below are stored in the Automatic Climate Control (IHKA). 801375 - Electric auxiliary heater (high voltage) is stored: Temporary fault detected after software reset CAUSE: IHKA software or Electric Heater (EH).

A very high pitched whistling or beeping noise is heard coming from the center vents. The flow of refrigerant through the expansion valve at certain temperature differentials.

After the high voltage (HV) charging procedure, the stationary climate control (aka preconditioning) does not work. This is part of the normal design. There is no fault or defect.
