SUBJECT NVLD Tank Leakage FC 190302 Fuel Tank Ventilation and Purge Air System Micro Leak . The engine malfunction warning is illuminated and the following fault code is stored in the DME memory: FC 190302 Fuel tank ventilation and purge air system micro leak leakage greater than 0_5 mm. CAUSE: Contamination of the NVLD pressure switch diaphragm and/or the contamination of the NVLD dust filter.

6138122018-12-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. "Service Action: Program Control Units (CAS). After programming/coding the vehicle with ISTA/P 2.48.1 or earlier, the Car Access System (CAS) was incorrectly coded. This causes the anti-theft alarm system panic button on the remote control to not function. AFFECTED VEHICLES This Service Action involves F01, F02, F04, F06, F07, F10, F12, F13 and F25 vehicles which were produced August 2010 to June 2012. In order to determine whether a specific vehicle has had this Service Action completed or is affected by this Service Action, first check the B-pillar label for code number 637. If code number 637 has been punched out, the campaign has already been performed. If code number 637 has not been punched out, it will be necessary to utilize the ""Service Menu"" of DCSnet (Dealer Communication System) or the Key Reader. Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the corrective action or take no further action. Important Note: A campaign can be reserved in ISPA Light as ""Pending"" prior to submission of a claim. If you find this campaign reserved, please verify the reason before attempting to perform this repair."

Use and claim the part number for the ""Repair kit for button caps"" when performing this repair. Replace ALL the buttons with those included in the kit. Note: Please do not use and claim the part number for the "Repair kit, radio and A/C panel." To ensure the button cap kit with the correct symbols and labels is installed, perform a part number lookup in ETK by VIN. Labor operation code 64 11 326 is a Main labor operation. One or more of the following situations may occur concerning the illumination of the Bang & Olufsen sound system loudspeakers: * Illumination is insufficient (not bright enough) * Illumination is not available on all loudspeakers * Brightness cannot be adjusted Loudspeaker illumination settings are dependent on the model: * Different brightness characteristics * Not all loudspeakers are illuminated INFORMATION Explain to the customer that loudspeaker illumination can vary from model to model. For an overview of the illuminated loudspeakers, refer to the attachment. IMPORTANT: The current version of the Owner's Manual for 5 Series vehicles is incorrect. On 5 Series vehicles (F07 and F10), only the main loudspeaker (moving part) in the dashboard and the two loudspeakers in the mirror triangles in the front doors are illuminated. The Owner's Manuals for 5 Series vehicles will be corrected with start of production of the MY2014 vehicles (July 2013).

The Car Access System (CAS) software is incorrect, allowing the rear deck lid to be open when the convertible top compartment cover is in the intermediate position. IMPORTANT: The current version of the Owner's Manual for 5 Series vehicles is incorrect. On 5 Series vehicles (F07 and F10), only the main loudspeaker (moving part) in the dashboard and the two loudspeakers in the mirror triangles in the front doors are illuminated. The Owner's Manuals for 5 Series vehicles will be corrected with start of production of the MY2014 vehicles (July 2013). This Service Information will be updated as soon as a solution is available for adjustment of the brightness of the illuminated loudspeakers. A grating noise can be heard coming from the left front side of the front console trim panel, where it meets the instrument panel, especially when driving on rough roads. CAUSE Insufficient gap clearance between the console trim and the instrument panel.
