6516122018-12-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. "Headunit-High: Navigation System Cannot Be Activated. The navigation system cannot be activated when entering the 20-digit INITIAL enabling code manually. This occurs after the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) for the vehicle was already performed and finished. The wrong 20-digit ""enabling code"" was entered during the first attempt; the Headunit-High locks up and the correct ""enabling code"" will not be accepted."
6138122018-12-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. "Service Action: Program Control Units (CAS). After programming/coding the vehicle with ISTA/P 2.48.1 or earlier, the Car Access System (CAS) was incorrectly coded. This causes the anti-theft alarm system panic button on the remote control to not function. AFFECTED VEHICLES This Service Action involves F01, F02, F04, F06, F07, F10, F12, F13 and F25 vehicles which were produced August 2010 to June 2012. In order to determine whether a specific vehicle has had this Service Action completed or is affected by this Service Action, first check the B-pillar label for code number 637. If code number 637 has been punched out, the campaign has already been performed. If code number 637 has not been punched out, it will be necessary to utilize the ""Service Menu"" of DCSnet (Dealer Communication System) or the Key Reader. Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the corrective action or take no further action. Important Note: A campaign can be reserved in ISPA Light as ""Pending"" prior to submission of a claim. If you find this campaign reserved, please verify the reason before attempting to perform this repair."
6401132018-12-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. "IHKA Operating Panel Buttons Are Peeling. INFORMATION As noted in ETK: In case of surface damage to buttons, use the button cap repair kit. Use and claim the part number for the ""Repair kit for button caps"" when performing this repair. Replace ALL the buttons with those included in the kit. Note: Please do not use and claim the part number for the "Repair kit, radio and A/C panel." To ensure the button cap kit with the correct symbols and labels is installed, perform a part number lookup in ETK by VIN. Labor operation code 64 11 326 is a Main labor operation. If you are using a Main labor code for another repair, use the Plus code labor operation 64 11 769 instead."

One or more of the following situations may occur concerning the illumination of the Bang & Olufsen sound system loudspeakers: * Illumination is insufficient (not bright enough) * Illumination is not available on all loudspeakers * Brightness cannot be adjusted Loudspeaker illumination settings are dependent on the model: * Different brightness characteristics * Not all loudspeakers are illuminated INFORMATION Explain to the customer that loudspeaker illumination can vary from model to model. For an overview of the illuminated loudspeakers, refer to the attachment. IMPORTANT: The current version of the Owner's Manual for 5 Series vehicles is incorrect. On 5 Series vehicles (F07 and F10), only the main loudspeaker (moving part) in the dashboard and the two loudspeakers in the mirror triangles in the front doors are illuminated. The Owner's Manuals for 5 Series vehicles will be corrected with start of production of the MY2014 vehicles (July 2013).

A whistling noise is heard from the center fresh-air vents. The noise can be heard during the warm up phase (3 to 10 mins) after the heating system is first activated, with low outside temperatures and the center vents stratification adjustment wheel is turned to the ""red"" position. 6520132018-11-13. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Vehicle inTransport Mode Cannot Be Unlocked with Remote Control. When the vehicle is in transport mode, intermittently it cannot be unlocked via the remote control key. CAUSE When the vehicle is in transport mode, to reduce power consumption, the software is designed to disable the outside antenna receiver from waking up the vehicle.
