Service bulletins for the 2018 Bentley Continental
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 2065604/1 | 2022-01-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Suspicion that control units or services have been influenced by third parties. Customer statement / workshop findings: In the event a customer complaint is received relating to a suspicion that control units or services have been influenced by third parties the instructions within this TPI should be followed. Technical background: A suspicion that control units or services have been influenced by third parties means that unauthorised people or groups may have gained access to a vehicle's control unit(s) or online services and may have manipulated them in such a way that may compromise customer data confidentiality or the operation of the vehicle and/or online services. When investigating potential third party influences of control units or online services, it is important to take all normal diagnostic measures to rule out a normal functional error or misuse of the system by the user |

| 2057978/5 | 2021-10-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine Lubricating Oil - Replenishment. Customer statement / workshop findings Engine lubricating oil lamp illuminated on driver instrument panel. Engine lubricating oil requires topping up between services. Technical background: In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified running-in periods consume more oil during the running-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the running-in period. Refer to the Owners Manual for specific running-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue, and the oxidation level of the oil. Certain driving conditions may negatively influence the rate of oil consumption. This can occur while the vehicle is operated in city driving conditions, for example: stop and go traffic with extended idle periods |
