Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi S7
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A001349 2033576- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage. |

| A191453 2039018- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. A small amount of dry or crusted coolant is seen on the coolant pump housing. The coolant level warning is not on. A minor coolant leak is possible during the break-in phase of the coolant seal on the coolant pump. The dry coolant marks are normal. |
| A171453 2038129- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14-50 dated August 15, 2014. A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual. |

| A011498 2038166- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The engine warning light is on after engine replacement. The engine is not running roughly. However, fault codes are stored in the engine control module (ECM). The fault codes occur at light load, between 8% and 14% accelerator pedal position. The programmed values for the misfire adaption are not automatically reset when the memory is deleted. The adaption must be reset after the engine is installed. |
| A211317 2034999- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. On 4.0l bi-turbo FSI engines, the pipe on the impeller side of the bank 2 turbocharger looks discolored when compared to the pipe on the bank 1 turbocharger. The crankcase breather is only connected to the bank 2 turbocharger inlet. Blow-by gases from the crankcase breather discolor the pipe. This is a normal condition. |
| Dealer Letter - | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. This communication is to inform you of upcoming Update 24Z6. On Audi vehicles with a 3.0L TFSI engine produced during a certain period, it is possible that the membrane on the vacuum actuator for the intake manifold flaps may tear. As a result, the intake manifold flaps do not function and the engine indicator light turns on. Install new manifold actuators. |
| A011369 2028344- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 12-57 dated October 29, 2012. Noises/inconsistent engine operation after cold start during the catalyst heating phase. The customer may interpret this engine roughness as misfiring. To comply with the legal requirements on exhaust gas emissions according to the LEV-1 and LEV-2 standards, a high exhaust gas quality must be ensured. The necessary catalyst only operates at a temperature over 300°C (572°F). To achieve this, the catalyst is heated up. The catalyst heating phase is achieved by a late ignition angles and by introducing additional fresh air to the exhaust valves (secondary air system). Late ignition angles make sure that the exhaust gas from the cylinders has a higher temperature. This exhaust gas includes fuel that is un-burnt, and was deliberately injected into great quantities. The secondary air system adds fresh air to the exhaust gas as it leaves the cylinder and the extra fuel is burnt. As a result, the temperatures of the exhaust gas and of the catalyst increase quickly. The afterburning in the exhaust manifold before the catalyst changes the sound characteristic of the engine. This heating-up of the catalyst, including afterburning, is normal and has no effect on the service life of the engine. During this catalyst heating phase, the engine has increased idle speed, may have increased vibrations, and has a different sound characteristic. Depending on conditions, the time of the catalyst heating phase varies. |

| A101310 2018288- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 10 number 10-02 dated September 14, 2010. Prior to engine replacement, any debris lodged in transferred assemblies must be removed. If the vehicle's engine experienced a serious mechanical problem, it is possible that small pieces of metal debris resulting from the mechanical problem may have become deposited in the intake manifold, air intake hoses, exhaust manifolds, exhaust down-pipes, turbocharger, supercharger, and/or intercooler. If these pieces are not removed prior to the installation and operation of the replacement engine, the pieces may be drawn into the combustion chamber, which can cause a knocking noise and subsequent serious engine damage. |
| A011336 2035235- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; ENGINE. The customer reports that the engine warning light illuminates sporadically. The engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling. Noise is heard coming from the engine compartment, specifically from the High Pressure Fuel Pumps 2. DTCs are stored in the engine control module (ECM). The fuel metering valve of the high-pressure fuel pump is controlled by a specific on/off ratio. If there is a low system voltage, the on/off ratio may not be enough to keep the fuel metering valve constant in all areas. In such a situation, the fuel metering valve is deactivated and the high-pressure fuel pump switches to full supply mode. Because the increased rail pressure does not match the respective driving situation, the DTC appears. |
| Executive Servic | 2017-10-27. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; ENGINE; STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:POWER STEERING FLUID; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FLUID.
