Service bulletins for the 2013 Audi S7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A921510 2038151-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 92 number 14-09 dated September 12, 2014. The washer solvent level warning is on in the DIS, but the washer solvent level is correct. There is no functional restriction in the windshield washer system. The sensitivity of the washer solvent level sensor (G33) can be affected by the type, concentration, and the presence of additives in the washer solvent currently in the tank. The operation of the level sensor relies on the composition of the solvent to provide an accurate message on the solvent level. Incorrect concentration and the presence of additives can contaminate the sensor and reduce its sensitivity.
A911588 2026390-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. When a phonebook with a large number of contacts is being downloaded, the MMI screen freezes Briefly after the initial Bluetooth connection (shortly after the phone is bonded to the vehicle), after the ignition is switched on (shortly after the phone automatically reconnects with the vehicle), and after the phonebook has downloaded. When the voice recognition system is used, a message appears in the MMI screen stating that the phone book is too large and that the voice recognition system cannot be used. When music is streamed to the MMI system with the Bluetooth A2DP connection, the music intermittently pauses or seems to skip. The condition goes away once the phonebook transfer is completed. The MMI uses a limited portion of the total memory to convert the name and phone number fields of downloaded contacts into a voice command (text to speech). Extensive processing takes place if too many letters are used in the first and last name fields or if numbers or special characters are entered. The remaining memory is dynamically assigned to different applications which can also affect the capacity of the voice command processing. The MMI does not respond until the process is completed or it may freeze if phonebook fields are too large or do not follow typical formatting. In addition, the text-to-speech capacity is exceeded and the voice recognition system is rendered inactive.
A911583 2030465-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-07 dated September 12, 2013. Group "A" complaints: Valid for vehicles with MMI software below version 566. Group "B" complaints: Valid for vehicles with MMI software at or above version 566 but below 715. Group "C" complaints: Valid for vehicles with MMI software at or above version 715 but not including 814. This bulletin only applies to vehicles with MMI3G+ Navigation (PR Number "7T6") and to vehicles with MMI3G+ Navigation, but without Audi Connect (PR Number "7T6" with additional PR code of "PND"). Continual improvements to MMI software provides solutions to issues experienced in the field.
A871563 2010146-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 14-54 dated August 28, 2014. There is an unpleasant, musty odor coming from the heating and ventilation system. The odor usually occurs when the vehicle has been sitting unused for five hours or more. The odor usually occurs within 20 to 60 seconds after the vehicle is started. Condensation, which is a normal condition in all A/C systems, can cause a musty odor. If the odor is noticeable in the vehicle when the engine is not turned on, the cause may be mold and mildew in the passenger compartment, and not be related to the A/C system. All other possible sources of the odor must be investigated before this bulletin can be performed.
A171562 2040644-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. A metallic whistling or grinding sound is heard from the engine compartment when the vehicle is at idle speed. The sound usually only occurs when the engine is warm. The MIL is sporadically on. DTC P2279 and DTC P0507 are stored in the ECM. A leak in the crankcase breather module (pressure regulating valve) can cause this condition.
A011523 2036558-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 14-99 dated October 16, 2014. The MIL is on. DTCs are stored in the ECM. ECM software adjustment of the secondary air pump motor (V101) runtime during the diagnosis phase.
A011522 2038045-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 14-88 dated August 15, 2014. The MIL is on. DTC P218100 (Cooling System Performance) is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). DTC P218100 will be stored if, after a specified air flow (warm-up phase), the measured engine temperature does not reach the value in the timing map. Particles in the cooling system from the production process affect the closing of the coolant thermostat. Replacing the coolant temperature sender does not fix the problem.
A941565 2012749-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 12-92 dated October 24, 2012. The customer complains about the picture quality of rearview backup camera image in the MMI screen. The picture is fuzzy or distorted. The picture looks too bright, too dark, or opaque in certain areas of the image. The colors of the objects in the image are incorrect or slightly off. The guidelines used for parking are fuzzy, distorted, or pixelated when compared with the guidelines displayed on another vehicle?s MMI.
A911579 2038824-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 14-69 dated November 4, 2014. The following message appears on the MMI display: "Device or cable type not supported". The AMI cable being used is a genuine Audi-branded cable with an Audi part number (see Required Parts and Tools for a list of valid part numbers). The "Device or cable type not supported" message may be displayed when an incorrect AMI cable type is connected to the MMI system. Only cables with an Audi part number (i.e., 4F0.XXX.XXX) are supported by the MMI system. Volkswagen-branded cables look similar, but are not guaranteed to work with Audi MMI systems. The label on the end of an Audi-branded cable has an Audi logo and Audi part number. Audi-branded cables have unique firmware inside the hardware that can determine which MMI system and iOS device are connected to the cable. Volkswagen cables do not have this firmware. The firmware is required to allow the system to function normally due to the different technology available in the different MMI systems and in the different iPhones and iPod Touch devices. In addition, the AMI system was designed to play the music stored locally on the connected device only. Music streaming (from Spotify or Pandora, for example) is not supported, and music stored in the cloud (on Google Play, Amazon Prime, or iTunes Match/iCloud, for example) may drop out, pause, and skip when played.
A911578 2011500-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 08-129 dated November 12, 2008. Customer states that the reception of satellite radio occasionally fades or drops out. The information display may show a message related to the satellite radio, such as "Linking", "Updating", "Acquiring Signal", "Loading", "No Signal", or "No Sat".

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
