Service bulletins for the 2012 Audi S5

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

011366203145832022-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes.
011345203145842022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions (such short-distance, stop-and-go driving), high crankcase pressure can cause the DTCs to appear.
011366203145832022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes.
011345203145842022-09-26.
011258203145812022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). Under extreme driving conditions, such as a driving profile of mainly short distance (stop and go) driving high crankcase pressure can lead to the above described DTC codes. By changing the crankcase pressure valve to a lower operating pressure this condition can be improved and eliminate the mentioned possible DTC codes. Along with the crankcase pressure being lowered, a new ECM software level is required to compensate for new crankcase pressure.
001463203357622022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
001459202973722022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. When oil is drained through the drain plug, the oil might spill on components around the oil pan area. If it is not properly cleaned up, this spilled oil could drip after the procedure is complete, causing unnecessary customer complaints.
001349203357612022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay.
13352010043132022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine oils that meet Audi Oil Quality Standards.
1225203160712022-08-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. To ensure mobility, a small amount of fuel is still available when a fuel range of zero miles is initially displayed. Additionally, the fuel range is calculated based on the most recent driving style. Therefore, the actual amount of fuel remaining may vary when a fuel range of zero is initially displayed.
1453203901812022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. A small amount of dry or crusted coolant is seen on the coolant pump housing (Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3). The coolant level warning is not on. A minor coolant leak is possible during the break-in phase of the coolant seal on the coolant pump. The dry coolant marks are normal.
1345203443922022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:RADIATOR ASSEMBLY. When vehicles are driven on gravel roads, there is a greater chance of front-end stone impact damage to the intercooler radiator (Figure 1).
1343203443912022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:RADIATOR ASSEMBLY. When vehicles are driven on gravel roads, there is a greater chance of front-end stone impact damage to the intercooler radiator (Figure 1).
1453203812922022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION. A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual.
1451203811912022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The message ?Oil minimum warning, add one quart of oil? appears in the instrument cluster, but the oil level is above the minimum level (when measured with special tool T40178). ? There are no DTCs related to oil level stored in the ECM memory. The oil level sensor is defective.
