Service bulletins for the 2017 Audi Q7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A911629 2043037-2017-10-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. The customer does not know how to become a Key User of the vehicle. The customer has completed the Audi connect User Management Registration and has a contract ID and form, but the remote services do not work in the vehicle. The customer does not understand the different PINs used with the Audi connect Gen2 system. The customer or dealer has lost the scratch-off vehicle code (referred to as the ?vehicle PIN?). The customer does not know the four-digit app PIN for remotely locking and unlocking the vehicle with the MMI connect smartphone app. The customer and dealer must both understand the contract ID generated during the Audi connect user management registration process must be validated by the dealer using the AcVDM system. The person being validated will have full access to the vehicle?s location and could potentially lock and unlock the vehicle remotely (if the vehicle PIN and myAudi account are paired within the MMI system), thus it is the responsibility of the dealer to ensure that the customer requesting validation is the actual vehicle owner. AcVDM can be found in AccessAudi.com under Audi connect>>AcVDM myAudi Key User Verification Tool. Once the customer becomes a Key User of the vehicle, other users can be assigned as ?secondary users? of the same vehicle. A secondary user can use the remote services without restriction, but only the Key User can assign or remove secondary users.
PDI - 2017 Q7 TE2017-10-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Audi Technician Report that must be completed prior to customer delivery by an Audi technician. An Audi approved battery charger is recommended to prevent excessive battery discharge during inspection. All PDI function tests must be run in Guided Fault Finding (GFF) only. Do not use Guided Functions for any PDI related test as these will not be uploaded to the Paperless Server. It is advised to start ODIS with the engine running to enable all 5F Test Plans in GFF and also to ensure SVM sees all control units during the SVM check vehicle configuration. For items marked with *, please refer to the PDI Technician Reference Document posted on ServiceNet for additional information.

Audi connect is not functioning and the message "Please wait.." continually appears The system might only receive a 3G cellular connection in areas with strong 4G LTE reception. It is possible that the Audi connect configuration is incorrect due to a communication issue with the backend server in Germany. A full factory reset of the MMI system is required to fix the incorrect configuration, as a factory reset of only the Audi connect settings may not correct the issue.
A901661 2043071-2017-10-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Manual speed warning cannot be turned off and is displayed as km/h.
