Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi Q7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A441342 2022563-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION; STEERING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-36 dated February 18, 2013. This bulletin is not applicable if this vehicle has a Repair Authorization on this topic. Customer feels vibration in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not lead to any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. The customer feels the vibration in one or both of the following circumstances: * When driving at highway speeds from 55 - 80 mph (88 - 128 km/h). * When applying low brake pedal pressure with minor slow down. The vibrations felt by the customer could be a result of the harmonic vibrations caused by the radial force variation (RFV) of the tires.
A441341 2030194-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. STEERING; WHEELS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 12-30 dated July 23, 2012. Complaints of steering wheel vibration and/or steering wheel oscillation at a speed range of 55 - 80 mph (88 ? 128 km/h), on vehicles with very low mileage or at PDI. The condition does not result in any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. Vehicles have original factory-installed wheels and tires. Tire pressures on Audi vehicles are set to specified values in order to prevent flat spotting during the transportation process from various Audi plants to United States ports. To closely monitor complaints of tire-related vibration at very low mileage, we are asking that you contact the Audi Technical Assistance Center (TAC) before performing any repairs on vehicles with this condition. This will assist us in diagnosing any potential issues with the condition noted above.
A101310 2018288-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 10 number 10-02 dated September 14, 2010. Prior to engine replacement, any debris lodged in transferred assemblies must be removed. If the vehicle's engine experienced a serious mechanical problem, it is possible that small pieces of metal debris resulting from the mechanical problem may have become deposited in the intake manifold, air intake hoses, exhaust manifolds, exhaust down-pipes, turbocharger, supercharger, and/or intercooler. If these pieces are not removed prior to the installation and operation of the replacement engine, the pieces may be drawn into the combustion chamber, which can cause a knocking noise and subsequent serious engine damage.
A661336 2029586-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 66 number 13-34 dated September 30, 2013. Wind noise may be coming from either the mirror base or the lane change assist lamp. Improved parts are available.
A661335 2026997-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 66 number 12-22 dated June 29, 2012. Customer may report hearing wind noise from the front door area. After diagnosis, it is determined that the source of the wind noise is the exterior rear view mirrors. Throughout the development of the Audi Q5 and Audi Q7, various features have been added to the exterior rear view mirrors. The added features include the turn signal lamp, side assist lamp, perimeter lamp, etc. As the complexity of the exterior rear view mirror increases, the mirrors become more susceptible to wind noise.

A271318 2023282-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-10 dated February 13, 2012. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed.
A171344 2035463-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine, and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner?s Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, and the ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors include the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. Utilizing the advanced sensor technology integrated in models equipped with the 3.0 TFSI engine, it is possible to measure oil consumption electronically via a Guided Function test plan. If the electronic oil consumption test is not available for this model, perform the test with the conventional scale/oil weighing method. See TSB 2018550 for instructions for the conventional scale/oil weighing method.
A011338 2035519-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. MIL on. DTCs are stored in the engine control module (ECM). Drivability is not affected. The leak detection pump (LDP) is a vacuum-driven, ECM-controlled, diaphragm pump. In order for the LDP to operate, the engine must be running and vacuum must be applied to the vacuum switch on the LDP. The LDP pressurizes the EVAP system and monitors any pressure drop within a specified amount of time in order to detect a leak.
