Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi Q7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A301519 2019850-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; POWER TRAIN. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 30 number 11-10 dated December 2, 2011. Clutch is not operating properly. Clutch has a burnt smell. Clutch pedal does not fully return to starting position. Incorrect shifting, the revolutions of clutch plate and engine input shaft differ too much, excessive slipping of the clutch, and when the clutch is pressed and an incorrect lower gear is selected, can result in clutch damage.
A301722 2019850-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. This technical service bulletin provides guidelines for diagnosing the clutch plate.
A371451 2036113-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 13-19 dated December 20, 2013. The ignition key cannot be removed even though the gear shifter is in Park (P). The vehicle is mechanically in the Park position, but this is not recognized electronically. The gear shifter cannot be moved from the Park position. On vehicles with advanced key, the vehicle cannot be locked by remote control after the engine has been switched off. DTC 00230: Transmission park selector switch-F305 - short circuit to ground may be sporadically stored in the vehicle authorization system control module. The Park position of the gear shifter is sporadically not recognized, which causes the ignition key to not be cleared and prevents the vehicle from being locked.
A371309 2028715-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 12-40 dated February 28, 2012. Rough gear changes, both when accelerating and when slowing down. There is a rough driving power disruption that occurs sporadically and lasts for less than a second. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
A011314 2033919-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE. MIL on. DTCs are stored in the engine control module. There may be slight power reduction at high RPMs. One of the vacuum actuators on intake runner bank 1 or bank 2 is defective.
A661330 2030471-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 66 number 12-24 dated August 24, 2012. Customer may report the license plate attachment screws do not install properly. The license plate brackets are designed to be used with the appropriate length screw installed by hand with a screwdriver. Damaged warranty parts have been returned to Audi of America with evidence of excessive torque used when installing the screw and/or excessive screw length.
A371430 2003658-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 13-07 dated May 29, 2013. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off). No DTCs are stored. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition.
A481459 2017266-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. STEERING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 13-51 dated August 30, 2013. Electrically-adjustable steering column adjustment is restricted and does not adjust vertically. Incorrect operation of Easy Entry is not the cause. It is unlikely that external forces have led to the loss of the stored end positions of the adjustment movement. See TSB 2015819, 48 Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work, for more information. Seat adjustments can be used to maintain the 10-inch minimum recommended distance from the steering wheel in case of airbag deployment. The axial adjustment is still functional during this condition. The steering column may be under tension due to unfavorable tolerances of the steering column and module cross carrier. As a result, the current draw of the regulator motors is above specification, which causes the electric steering column adjustment to fail. Once the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09), detects an excessive current draw, the basic settings will be erased. If basic settings are not stored in the vehicle electrical system control module, the module will not send voltage/current to the motor to operate the vertical adjustment.
A971442 2036764-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 97 number 14-41 dated March 18, 2014. The MIL is on. Vehicle will not start. DTC P068A00 is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). Numerous unrelated DTCs are also stored in the system, including: P056200, P057100, P068700, P068A00, P162400, P190C00, U010000, U010100, U012100, U014600, U015500, U021200, U101100, U102600, U111100, U111300, U140000, VAG00003, VAG00185, VAG00263, VAG00317, VAG00384, VAG00446, VAG00456, VAG00457, VAG00466, VAG00473, VAG00532, VAG00565, VAG00591, VAG00714, VAG00819, VAG00955, VAG01217, VAG01299, VAG01314, VAG01315, VAG01317, VAG01320, VAG01330, VAG01331, VAG01332, VAG01334, VAG01333, VAG01336, VAG01705, VAG01964, VAG02067, VAG02072, VAG02095, VAG02103, VAG02203, VAG02214, VAG02635, VAG02812, VAG02874, VAG03041, VAG03157, VAG03166, VAG03220, VAG03278, and/or VAG03531. The motronic engine control module power supply relay, J271, is not functioning properly. Because the J271 relay controls battery voltage (Terminal 30) via a ground signal sent from the ECM, numerous faults can occur in multiple control modules when it is not functioning properly.
A371421 2036826-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). "Gearbox malfunction: You can continue driving" appears in the information display. DTCs are stored in the transmission control module (TCM), J217 (address word 02). Diagnostic threshold setting in current software is too sensitive.
A971338 2016275-2017-11-03. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 97 number 10-14 dated September 16, 2010. Electrical components associated with the panorama roof, power rear lid, interior lighting, or Central Electrics (such as sunroof frame/sunshade operation, power rear lid operation with open/close switch, dome light operation, etc.) may become inoperative. The battery may be discharged. This bulletin only applies to vehicles with panorama roofs. During vehicle assembly, the wire harness that is routed along the left side of the sunroof frame may be pinched at one of the sunroof frame to body assembly points.
