Service bulletins for the 2009 Audi Q7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

700 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

1450203812912022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION. A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual.
1449202844022022-08-01. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:DISPLAY FUNCTION. The customer complains of one or more of the following issues: ? When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. ? The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. ? After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. ? When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. ? There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer.
1491202884222022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). Customer vehicle is fitted with unauthorized ECM tuning.
1475203666822022-08-01. Service bulletin. STEERING; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; SERVICE BRAKES. When diagnosing a MIL on, no-start, or rough running concern on a common rail diesel vehicle, and no root cause is found after checking all other components and following all GFF diagnostic procedures, it may be necessary to check for metallic particles in the High Pressure Fuel Pump.

26 14 24 20382952022-05-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:PUMP. Refill AdBlue warning comes on prematurely with no faults stored
26 13 20 20267572022-05-31. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. An AdBlue message may appear in the instrument cluster either because there is a fault in the emission control system or because the system needs to be refilled. The AdBlue message displayed may vary depending on the model year of the vehicle.
15 37 2040752 52022-05-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Metallic particles in the high pressure fuel pump may cause the condition. Vehicle either runs roughly or does not start.
A9022572032113_62022-05-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. This is an informational bulletin containing information about the outside temperature reading.
37 14 30 20036582022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC):CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off).
37 14 23 20284722022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. The ignition key cannot be removed even though the gear shifter is in Park (P). The vehicle is mechanically in the Park position, but this is not recognized electronically. The gear shifter cannot be moved from the Park position. On vehicles with Audi advanced key, the vehicle cannot be locked by remote control after the engine has been switched off.The Park position of the gear shifter is sporadically not recognized, which causes the ignition key to not be cleared and prevents the vehicle from being locked.
37 13 09 20287152022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:GEARS. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
37 13 07 20336582022-05-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who consciously or unconsciously drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. As a result, application of the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time (brake pedal with left foot and accelerator pedal with right foot) results in the following: ? Brake pedal function (normal at all times) overrides any throttle application. ? Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will not be stored. ? When the brake pedal is applied while the accelerator is depressed, engine RPMs will return to idle speeds of 1400 RPMs after approximately two seconds. ? When the accelerator is applied while the brake pedal is depressed, the vehicle accelerates slower than usual (reduced engine torque).
27 14 24 20253602022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This TSB provides basic diagnosis steps for discharged batteries, general tips for working with batteries, and system verification steps to ensure that the vehicle is configured correctly. 27 13 18 20232822022-05-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed.
26 14 24 20382952022-05-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. The reducing agent transfer pump V436 may be faulty. The vehicle cannot pump AdBlue from the passive tank to the active tank. Cars in hot weather regions are more prone to this issue.
26 13 20 20267572022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. An AdBlue message may appear in the instrument cluster either because there is a fault in the emission control system or because the system needs to be refilled. The AdBlue message displayed may vary depending on the model year of the vehicle.
23 15 37 20407522022-05-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:PRESSURE SENSOR; STEERING. Metallic particles in the high pressure fuel pump may cause the condition.
